A sandy on which you MUSTN'T feed the seagulls. Luckily there are signs everywhere telling you this, in case you suddenly think it's a good idea. The sand dunes are interesting too if you are an environmentalist. The weather can change quickly here, so come prepared... We were here for the air show which was spectacular. Check beside the spot you pick. Had a lovely lunch and ice cream at The Pavilion cafe. Sat outside on their terrace with the dog. Very area. Great kids playpark opp the cafe too. Flat wide which is reasonably well maintained On down days we love it here. Avoid it on busy days and it's always a great place be We visited the playground by the rather than the itself. Excellent, big, with equipment for all sizes of child and young teen. Toilets are nearby, but it's paid entry with a card (50p). Plenty food-stalls nearby, but not all of good quality... We had a pretty bad hotdog at the hotdog place by the Low Green info-panel. was nice and clean, just need to avoid the jellyfish near the water. Great sandy for making sandcastles. Nice walk along the front to the play area which was brilliant and had so many things available for the kids who had lots of fun. Parking is free and toilets available for 30p The seems perfectly nice and I was impressed that there is a specialist wheelchair higher for those in wheelchairs who would like to access the beach. There is a cafe which also serves ice cream. I couldn't see any public toilets, however I am not certain that they were not there. The seems and it was perfectly nice. Just not as nice as some of the beaches I have visited in Scotland Was a bleak miserable day however I have had many many wonderful days out there with my grandkids so I just wrapped up and went for a lovely walk along the promenade. Great walk across the sand and shingle. Very picturesque. Well recommended for a stroll. Lovely day at the in Ayr weather gorgeous it was busy but always plenty of room at the lovely fish and chips from blue lagoon Very windy, blustery January day, wee bit of lunch then literally blew the cobwebs away with a wee visit to the seafront..massive sea, stood at the wall and the water was actually splashing us. Love a big sea! lovely beach, very windy day or I will walked on the sand Good to walk along, go for a swim,Or just sit in the car and watch the world go by. There is a good play park for younger kids and a big area of grass if you want to have a picnic or kick a ball about. Lots of people fly kites in that area as well. Also there is couple of ice cream parlours and places to eat, there is also public toilets. Today it was roasting so a trip to Ayr it was! The girls had a ball here. There's always loads to do. The was and had lots of people but not so many that you couldn't get a space to sit. It's dog friendly! Other than the beach, there's a huge playpark for kids of all ages, lots of ice-cream stands and places to eat. Also an indoor softplay aswell. The girls had a great day. 5/5 for us⭐️ Had a walk of a couple of miles along the on a surprisingly warm afternoon. Lots of dogs but still very clean. Not a lot open at this time of year. [Trip May 2023] The was very busy during the day we visited so we went out again for sunset. Peaceful and quiet sunset time. Impressive! Good Ayr is one of the top beaches in Scotland. Sand beach, depth of water is shallow for a long distance out. Cleanliness of is very good. Lovely area of grass for sitting and having meals on. Shops, dining restaurant and local toilets.
