What a pretty built in 1902 the interior is amazing. We attended Antiques & little bit of nonsence evening with presenters of Bargain Hunt. A excellent evening & very funny, the presenters where lovely. After the show they all came into the foyer to thank people for coming along & very happy to have their photo's taken with anyone who wanted one. A brilliant evening. Loved it. The seating in the galleries is tight, but otherwise an excellent venue. Volunteers are lovely, friendly, welcoming and helpful. A real Ayrshire cultural asset. A great wee theatre. We attended the pantomime and were greeted at the door by lovely friendly staff. The cafe attached to the was also great with friendly and informative staff. The views of the stage seem to be excellent from all of the seats, although some seats do not have as good leg room as others. Fantastic night out in the Gaiety Theatre. It was an amazing show by Gareth Gates and the team, on stage and behind the scenes. Assisted by the Gaiety to assist clientel as they organised and ran an organised, comfortable evening's entertainment in style. PS My wife thoroughly enjoyed 😍 Have been coming to the Gaiety for years & every time I come to see a show, I seem to see a bit of architecture, etc, that I'd not noticed before. Inside the building is beautiful with three levels to view a show from. You have the stalls, the circle & what we all called 'the gods' as it seems so high up. There are also two boxes to watch a show, too. There have been some great shows here & thankfully, there still are great shows coming throughout the year. The prices are very good & the staff, who are mainly volunteers, are very courteous, happy & knowledgeable. I've just seen the pantomime with my granddaughter & had a truly brilliant time. The only issue I have, which is nothing at all to do with the theatre, is the car park beside it as the machines are either not working or you have to get a ticket using a website whilst in the car park & you only get 3 hours which at times have made it a close thing to get back to the car before the time runs out. It's a private company who own it & as far as I'm aware are extremely strict on enforcing times etc. Loved the Theatre. Saw a musical recently. Comfortable. Better to book seats further back or in Circle as sitting anywhere in centre and first three rows, the music is loud and lights penetrative. A beautiful run by volunteers. A nice restaurant attached to the with a marvellous menu and fabulous food helped make the event even more enjoyable. A thoroughly enjoyable day out. The Gaiety is comfortable and easy to access as someone who has mobility issues. There were plenty of around to ask for help if you were to need it. The toilet facilities were clean and looked well maintained, also enough to allow for everyone to go to the loo, get a drink and get back to their seats in the 15 minute interval. Visited 02/01/25 Absolutely fabulous. Hilarious Pantomime, Mother Goose. Brilliant actors, fantastic scenery, fabulous staff, they went above and beyond to help us (we are both mobility limited) even moved us to better seats. Lyrics Hilarious and the music was magical. A very professional performance. We thouroughly enjoyed ever minute. We will definitely be back. JG &SC. Cracking wee local venue that needs supporting! Use it or lose it! First visit to The Gaiety but won't be the last. Had a fantastic night. were brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Bowie Experience was amazing. Had the place rocking. Loved every minute ❤️ Beautiful 💗 Fantastic! We’ve just been to the Panto, as we did last year, and both times have been brilliant! Something for the kids but the adults too with plenty of inside gags 🤣. We didn’t realise that it was a charity theatre! It’s so important to support local amenities like this so we will definitely be back, well done all! 😊 Just seen The Girl on the Train performed by Ayr Fort Players at Ayr Gaiety Theatre. A wonderfully emotive drama and acted out to perfection by all cast members. Congratulations to everyone involved in putting it all together. I would thoroughly recommend seeing this play. All the actors were so believable and there were some very emotional scenes. Go and see it.
