Reviewed before on a brilliant sunset night. This evening you couldn't even see Arran, weather was so bad.Only descriptive word is oldscots ..Dreich.😱 19th may2024. Another stunning sunset this evening to the north of Arran.🤗 Surprisingly nice beach. At low tide you will find a wide sandy beach. Parking in the unpaved parking bays is free. A slow walk into the town centre took us about 15 minutes. There is a pier to get you by boat to the island of Arran and a marina. Close by is also a tall dam or hill that offers nice views over the sea. Beautiful spot for a walk. We stopped here on the way to cairnryan for the ferry as an opportunity to stretch our legs and give the dog a break from the journey. Had a (very cold) walk along the waterfront for some lovely fresh air. Plenty of free parking around and there’s a walking path that goes right along the top of the if you don’t want to get sandy. Winter, summer. Same view always beautiful. Loved by windsurfers, paddle boarders and wild swimmers as well as dog walkers and families. As of 2022 it has been granted bathing water status so the water quality is measured on a regular basis. One of my favourite places on the planet with stunning views over Arran. The colours are magical. If feeling stressed or anxious; come here on a sunny day... Breath deep.... Let it all go... Let the light fill your eyes and a smile will find its way to you. We are so blessed. I come here to hydrofoil kitesurf and kite buggy on the beach. I love going on mini missions up and down the coast, far out at sea. Also an awesome place to start a When the sun's out after a 5km run up to the harbour and down along to South Beach. As the sun sets grab a fish supper and scoff the lot :-) This is a place to decompress :-) Beautiful place and you can witness awsome sunset here A nice, sandy with free parking. My pup loves the and had a great time there. Peaceful, clean. Lots of people walking dogs (and cleaning up after them). No toilets or shops nearby, but close to the train station. Good place to relax and read a book in the sun. Great to go to. Not usually very busy and a lovely day out Vast beach, plenty of parking. Views to Isle of Arran. Toilet facilities Lovely beach, not overcrowded and very clean both on the and in the water. Lots of nearby accessible parking and a path for walking and cycling that goes along the front. Brilliant for dog walking (please, for the love of God have your dog on a lead). Max enjoyed it :) Parking next too it and a Morrisons close by to grab a snack etc. Lovely clean beach, great for walking the dogs. Other dog owners were very courteous & and friendly, which was a bonus. Great stop over for campervans/MH large grassy area and views. Toilets 50p and water refill station. Grew up going to this now I love taking my 2 rescue dogs long walks on this Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
