The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the parent company, Parkdean Resorts, are very difficult to deal with and almost impossible to talk to on the phone. But our stay at Sundrum was faultless. The caravan was great, the facilities excellent, and the couldn't do enough for you. When our dog ran off into the park they radioed round to all until she was found and we were told where to pick her up. Then they made sure she was OK and told us to ring them and tell them how she got on after we'd had her checked out at our home vet's. So, Sundrum Castle itself, can't recommend them enough. What a friendly, clean and welcoming caravan site. We absolutely loved the whole week we had there. The are lovely. The entertainment was fantastic and we loved all the paid/free activities that were offered for the children. The park was a bonus with the football court as well. It is a slight drive from the shop but there is one on site that was reasonable price. The restaurant was lovely and clean too. Overall we would do it all over again. And was happy with our stay. Had my tent picked at sundrum for a week at the start of the easter holidays. Was a holiday from start to finish. Kids loved the football area, entertainment swimming & arcade . The were all friendly & helpful. The toilet & showers very kept clean & tidy. All the facilities were handy we had everything we needed on site. Would love it if in the future some of the tent pitches had electric then I would give full marks of excellence booked up again for a week in the summer hopefully the weather will be good again. We are just back from our Easter holiday here and this is our second time going to Parkdean. When we arrived we weren’t happy with our caravan as it was just a little too small for 3 people and a dog. We went to the reception and they were and moved us straight away to a much better one. The entertainment were great, especially Kyle, he was fantastic with our daughter and went above and beyond to make her experience the best. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced for what you get. The only complaints I really have was that there was a few ants in the swimming changing rooms and the music is a little too loud at night time. Lovely small and quiet park- off peak break. Enjoyed the swimming pool very much, but not open on Monday or Friday. Enjoyed morning lattes at the bar. Avoid the overpriced shop if you can-a real rip off. £3.50 for an iceberg lettuce and other exorbitant prices. Avoid also the Crazy Golf- no challenge at all and £4.50 per person. Expensive for a family…. Finished in 5-10 mins. Gave 5 stars as we had a fab holiday. The caravan was absolutely spotless. Lovely bedding, spacious, heating (didn’t have tvs in the bedrooms which my kids hated) but very clean. The throughout the resort were all very pleasant and accommodating but I’d like to commend one member of the who was above and beyond helpful. I didn’t catch his name but he said he was the manager In the swimming pool. Such a lovely boy and was so helpful towards my autistic son. I hope Parkdean realises what a valued member of this young man is. Anyway, we, as a family of three had a time and will definitely go back.
