We head a mixes meat platter for two and a bear meat goulash with a side of steamed bread. We ordered red wine which complemented the food perfectly. After that we had strudel and pancakes. Everything was cooked to perfection. You get value for your money and you get to spend the day in greenery. Make sure to make reservations since it gets busy. Restaurant Eva in Lokve is a hidden gem surrounded by nature, and it truly impressed me. I had the goulash with deer, and it was absolutely excellent—rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. You can tell they take pride in their local dishes. The staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better. Prices are fair and around the average range, offering great value for the quality of food and service. The terrace overlooking the lake is simply beautiful—ideal for a relaxed meal with a view. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, making it a hassle-free stop whether you're coming from nearby or on a road trip through Gorski Kotar. Highly recommended for nature lovers and foodies alike! Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The waiters were professional and friendly. The food was very good, classic "Gorski kotar" with a slightly more modern approach. Now we come to the only problem, and that is the price, not so much of the food, which is at the level of the coastal part of Croatia, but of domestic brandy, which is €6, which we have not experienced in much more expensive restaurants. Waitress was so funny!! Vibes are great, the view is amazing. It‘s not too hot on the terrace. Maybe a bit pricey for some, but overall pretty experience. Mushroom soup is tasty, but it’s too small of a portion for the price you pay. Grill plata was and enough for 2 people. Great restaurant. We came without a reservation and they gave us a table but were honest that that food would be slow to come out. It wasn't a problem. We tried grilled chicken, veal, trout, and venison. Very kind staff. We tried blueberry crepes (pancakes) for dessert and I highly recommend them. 👌 Nestled in the lush forests of Gorski Kotar, near Lake Lokve, They offer a truly unique dining experience that blends traditional mountain cuisine with creative modern twists. It’s a hidden gem that stands out for its use of wild game, seasonal ingredients, and rustic charm. Service was also amazing 🤗 Place is a bit remote and we weren't expecting much. What a surprise! Food was excellent, waitress very knowledgeable and kind. Excellent soup which we needed, since it was very cold outside, the main dish, goulash with gnocchi, also. With some decent wine, our lunch was very good. I recommend! Located by the lake, with a beautiful view from the terrace. With a couple of varieties of local meat dishes, they also serve a couple of quality Croatian wine brands (white, red, rose). Food is excellent, could be a bit bigger portions but all in all a very experience. Dog friendly. Highly reccomend! P.s.
