Free parking- The itself is beautiful, it's dog friendly and there's a lovely big grassy area for dogs to run around and have fun! Lots of bins too which is handy. There's a few picnic benches and a small kids too so its quite family friendly. You can also walk next to the water to see the boats which is lovely and peaceful, we enjoyed watching the dragonflies and butterflies. Downside is its not very disabled friendly- we really struggled getting a small mobility scooter around- and in places we had to push the scooter to get up the hills. The grass is very uneven and boggy in places. Lovely for fog walkers or walkers. We headed here with our 9 month old puppy. The itself is nice with wildlife, the individual ponds, housing ducks, ducklings, swans, and birds. Unless your dog has impeccable recall, I'd advise keeping them on a lead. The runs parallel with the main road. We also walked the towpath, which was quiet. You can sit and watch the boats and more wildlife in the water. There are also benches dotted around the park. There are dog bins, so please pick up after your dog!! Plenty of free parking and a golf course directly opposite the car park. The main road is a sod to get out of if you're turning right! We opted for a week day, so it was relatively quiet in the park. We'll worth a visit. I only went for a quick look and fell in love with it. The pitch and putt looks fantastic and the walking area is great. Lots of parking aswell. A lovely park, I came here today with my friend, my daughter and my dog. We enjoyed having a wander around the lake and my dog enjoyed running around on the grass. Lots of picnic tables situated around the park, a small play area and pitch & putt golf. Highly recommend, ideal for taking the children out for half a day! Really liked it here. Brought the dogs. They can go everywhere, but on the golf course. Lovely to walk along the river and round the lake and there's also a big field for them. Just big spaces. 1-4 big grass acres to enjoy and around the are wildlife trees. all year round. The front gates have a limited high for vehicles of 7 Foot height. The gate is at 9:00am and closes at 19:00 pm . Played the pitch & putt frequently since June, fantastic space to practice & the two chaps who run it are fantastic, both so friendly & welcoming. Understand it closes at the end of October which is a real shame, especially considering the greens keepers will still be maintaining it to a degree... May as well for weekends over Winter at least, give us somewhere to get your short game fix on the odd sunny days! Family of 4 just played pitch and putt, not been for about 20 years but just as we remembered it, brought back some happy memories and made new ones - great fun! What a lovely man running it too, friendly, nothing too much trouble 😊 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
