Good parking. Service insufficient. Too cumbersome, too expensive. Due to the size of the location camperers tend to think that they can take over control of the area. Too many cultures have too many ideas they think that they have to impose upon others. Verbal and even physical violence 'is / can be' part of the casual visitor. One tend to forget that we all are guest in this Beautiful country. Verbal misunderstanding is easy to happen - especially by those cultures that only but master one language. BE Calm, count to ten, ask friendly, say hello. My wife reacts very swiftly in these circumstances: we leave. 😎 Gated site ~ Electric available but not to every pitch ~ NO TOILETS ~ but fresh 2€ for 100 litres. Usual waste disposal. Laundrette opposite plus bars and restaurants. Lidle 200yds away. 1.5mls to city centre and beautiful beach. 😎 €5.00 includes electric. €3.00 for pitch and use of Svcs. €2.00 to service only. Bien sûr, c'est un peu galère d'être obligé de sortir du mardi au mercredi, mais en même temps, ça fait une nuit gratuite. Et le marché vaut le détour, il y a de supers affaires à y faire. Il n'y a pas de Wifi, mais le réseau est bon. Les places sont plates,c'est calme et pas loin des plages et de la promenade de Quarteira. Lidl juste à côté et plein de restos et autres boutiques vers les plages. Vidanges gratuites et minimum 2€ pour faire le plein car le débit est super lent. Une bonne option pour passer quelques jours ou plus dans ce joli coin. Very friendly staff, Michael was very helpful also speaks good English. Worst service I have ever experienced. I call the phone number at about 2:00 p.m. because there was no one at the arrival gate. I was assured on the line that after the end of the market I can enter the premises and fill up with for 3 EUR, stay in the for 2 hours, take a shower, go to the toilet and the like. I arrive at the at 5:02 p.m. The first discrepancy with the phone call. refueling costs €2, not €3 as I was told on the phone. OK, so much the better, I think. I arrive at the dispenser. It's locked! An older man, a client of this circus, comes in and says it's been like this for 8 days! Why didn't the staff on the phone line point this out to me? I call the number on the gate again. I am assured by the owner that there in is a colleague who will come to unlock the dispenser for me. At 17:15 the colleague shows up to tell me that he doesn't have the key to the dispenser or anything else! The dispenser, WC, showers - just everything is locked! So the employee calls the boss with whom I spoke before. He promises to come in 15 to 30 minutes and bring the keys. I've been waiting an incredible 40 minutes and no one is anywhere! Unbelievable mess and chaos, unfulfilled promises, zero customer service, a mockery of Western civilization. So at 6:10 p.m., I really pi off and went to get at the nearest car wash. The situation after one week: a paper written with a colour marker on the machine with something in French that I don't understand. They didn't even bother to use international English. The dispenser is not working again! So after a week! I hear from the client that it is like this all the time. I absolutely recommend avoiding the circus where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and where the customer is zero for the owner. In addition, the owner is so greedy that he does not hesitate to kick out his guests every Wednesday, and there is a local market on site! Cheep and good big place. Lidl até on the corner. Excellent base for exploring around the area. Ricardo is a wonderful and happy site warden and so helpful in several languages! For 6€ per night and extra 2€ for a top up when needed it's very good value and safe. Free WiFi at the entrance and its an extra 2€ if you have a trailer or tow car. You have to move to the car park by 3pm on each Tuesday as there's a market on the Wednesday, so you can return there between 5pm - 7pm. So it's worth timing your tickets as you don't need to pay for the time you're parked next door. Plenty of space to be as social or not, as you wish. The market is very well organised and is spacious. There are some good quality items and also many of less quality. I just thought it’s missing more diversity as many bankers seek the same kind of products. There is an ATM just on the other side of the road. Excelente! Quite a walk but there is a free shuttle bus and the taxis on the bolt app are very cheap. There is also a takeaway/restaurant close for fab chicken and chips!!! (Queues of locals waiting outside!) Great price and definitely the cheapest around. However, the facilities are limited. The toilets are always closed and there are no shower facilities. You need to pay €2 for filling up but grey emptying is free. Space is closed Wednesdays for market day so, you will need to vacate the space by 3pm Tuesday afternoon or your caravan will be locked in. Loads of spaces and electricity hookups.
