Really love stopping at the Phesant for a pint or coffee after a walk out to Pen-y-fai. Really decent size with lots of tables, and quick service. Choice of beers is fine, coffee was above average for a pub. Haven't tried the food yet but it looks good. The has recently changed, seem to be getting used to it. Will probably get better as time goes on. Nice atmosphere generally. Good fun quiz night on Sundays A beautifully cooked meal for my wife & I , as well as a delicious starter of squid . The were extremely helpful & welcoming . The Steak & Ale pie was indulgent and great gravy , I had the pan fried sea bass on a bed of perfectly cooked vegetables & new potatoes. Thank you so much Sian for making our evening amazing . A trip down memory lane after losing our mother who used to eat her also. Thank you guys . Food was very tasty and plenty of it. Staff were and helpful Absolutely outstanding experience. The were friendly, welcoming and polite. The food was impeccable. We had the lamb, which was pink, seasoned well, and a really good cut. My husband had the beef pie, which was rich, filling and went down a treat. We had a cocktail and beer, which were tasty and well priced. The desserts were luxurious, presented well and just the right size. We will certainly be back! Thank you for such a evening! Our daughter had a time meal with family! Dog friendly! Great beer garden (not tried the food) My partner and I attended here today around 2.00pm where we really enjoyed our visit. The food was really filling and piping hot. Our meals were really presentable too! The waitress delivered a great customer service by greeting us in and she was very engaging with us too. I also want to point out that this pub has lots of character to it. I always prefer going to a pub restaurant for a meal because each one has its own character to the place. Nice place, with great views. The food was good for the price paid, was well seasoned, the gave the standard condiments; mint, horseradish and apple sauce. The vegetarian loved the mac and cheese and the garlic bread. The were and attentive. Stopped off here for a quick lunch before our drive home back down South. Friendly welcome and quickly seated and drinks order taken. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on menu. We had starters and mains from the normal menu, although they also have a good lunch deal menu. Everything came out quickly and was all delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area and looking for nice food in a cosy pub. Also have nice outdoor seating area but was sadly tipping down with rain when we visited!! Delicious Mother’s Day’s lunch! The special three course was excellent and the usual was available. were polite, efficient and attentive. Thank you! Awesome as always. Thank you to Liz and her team. See you very soon. Rich and Jo Merchant x Very and helpful staff. Knowledgeable on gluten free. We came on Monday night for a meal as a large group. Great food and service with a bustling atmosphere. Would definitely return to try some other dishes, we had people of all ages and everyone had a great evening. Staff were super and we had a great chat at the end of the night. I’ve been to the pheasant once before, years ago and remembering it being nice. My partner has never been. We went shopping in Bridgend and wanted to stop for food somewhere on the way home and went to Ty-Risha as it’s on the way home and we’ve always enjoyed our food there. We went in and apparently they only serve food after 5 now. So I knew there was 2 other brains brewery pubs nearby that served food and I opted for the pheasant as I remember it being the last time and plus it’s somewhere my partner has never been. The area is lovely, the pub was lovely, the man and woman behind the bar were really nice and welcoming but the food shocked me. It was absolutely beautiful food, a really good menu. Will definitely go more often Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
