The are visibly happier than in other zoos, the can get close to them, and new attractions are open all the time (latest: “swan” boat ride among islands with monkeys) Amazing zoo, feels like a safari park because you can get so close to the animals. Not a cheap day out for the family but well worth it. Don't let your children put their hands through the wire fences, it's not the best thing a parent can do, and yet many parents seem not to think about it! The main season is over (Sept) so only the cafés at the entrance and at the back of the waterworld exhibit are open. The man that set this place up is an inspiration. Go there! One star less as you have to pay for parking, and there is extremely limited info available in English. Also, on the day we visited the souvenir shop was closed, and we got informed about in a not too polite way. Amazing! We had a trip with our preschoolers and As we were also happy 😁 Rare white tigers, rare white lions (beautiful small family with 4 months old cub 🥰) Everything that one can and wants to see but its not able to travel abroad to, and its amazing! Caretakers are very helpful and informative, gave us every reason to stay. Pod wieloma względami z powodzeniem można konkurować z "miejskimi" zoo. Zdecydowanie lepsze od tego w Gdańsku jesli chodzi o wybiegi i zwierzęta. Cenowo poza sezonem też pezyzwoicie. Polecam! Polecam It was a very hot day and maybe that is the reason we did not see much of the animals. They were mostly sleeping or hiding from the sun. I highly recommend the Afrikarium ! Polecam gorąco nie tylko latem:) I really loved the park. The looked healthy and were actually really interactive. I've seen and heard wildlife like I hadn't before. The birds acting like apes were reqlly funny too. They had plenty space which is refreshing to see for a zoo. Only critical point, its not entirely wheelchair/pram friendly. Maybe at the places with the open ground bricks you could add a bit of a smoother path for wheels? I will return for sure in the future tho! It gets two stars because there are some really nice to see here, namely crocodiles, lions and tigers. For the rest only bad things to point: entrance is too expensive for what it is, everything else is paid extra (train, playground, boats, cinema, car parking); on the day we went there was no train driver, no boats, inside restaurant closed. I understand October during the week is off season, but then entrance tickets should also be half the price or so. Then for a place where one often goes with kids, there is a floor where it is almost impossible to push baby strollers.
