Super breathtaking, a must if u come to the UK. I recommend taking the train to Weymouth instead of wool if u don’t wanna climb over a steep hill to get to the this place. If u take a train to Weymouth u can take X54 bus to durdle door if ur coming from Wool u can take 30/31/X54 to get to Lulworth and hike over here. However 30/31 bus doesn’t run over winter time, they resume around Mar.15 every year Initial impressions are off the scale. Utterly beautiful landscape and scenery. Very clean and organised. Footpaths are gravel/stone and could be a little tricky for some people. The steps down to the beach are well constructed and in good order. The beaches were extremely clean as was the water. My only gripe is the carpark fees. £10 minimum is disgraceful. Especially if you just want to spend an hour there from the cliff tops for example. Been meaning to for a while and finally got the chance. Things to note: 1) Parking is £10 for 4 hours and £20 for all day. Not "cheap" but captive audience so... 2) To get down to the beach is around 20 to 30 mins walk with steep stairs at the end of the walk. Not really suitable for those who might struggle with such. The way back up is a lot harder too! Takes longer and is a steep walk with regular breaks needed. Take plenty of water. 3). There are NO TOILETS at the bottom or anywhere to change. Make sure you do all that before you head down. Only toilets are at the car park! 4) There are not shops or anything either at the bottoms so do take water / snacks as said before. Other than that it was worth it. The view is amazing and the sea temperature reasonable at this time of year. Can swim for ages if that's your thing 😊. Just be prepared and you will be fine! The Durdle Gate is the iconic image of the Jurassic Coast. Over time, the crashing waves eroded much of the limestone leaving a beautiful natural arch trapped in the ocean. 🌊 .. / ..-. . . .-.. / .- .-.. --- -. . Absolutely amazing views! It doesn’t even look like you’re in the UK. Pretty sure you can just come here on a hot sunny day and feel like you’re on holiday abroad. Loved it here, but we chose a windy cooler day and couldn’t get into the water. Well worth a we went off peak and it was still busy but plenty of room for everyone.. 5 min walk down a loose stone slope to get to the cliffs where you get an amazing view of durdle Door or if you can go down the steep steps to the beech.. At the car park you also have the option to go left towards the cove. cool place 🤌🏻 one of favourite place in uk🫶 Absolutely stunning place, very calm despite a fair few visitors at this attraction of natural beauty. Arrived around 5pm and stayed on beach until 5.40pm to get back in time for the one hour parking. Be warned over an hour price dramatically goes up to over 12 pounds! There are approximately 174 steps I believe, but not too bad if you take short rests in between going up. Definitely worth a to experience the views of the Jurrasic coastline! Will be back!!! The waves were super calming for my Anxiety! Every time I this place, I feel very calm relaxing and cheer up. I feel like I forget everything. The place is very beautiful nice feel One of the most Beautiful Beach I've ever been to, the scenery is amazing overall this place is a Vibe with a plenty of parking space. It's a must !!! Highly recommended The water was crystal clear Beautiful place, lovely views, nice beach, will definitely keep you fit walking down there and back up for sure Powerful place Beautiful view 😍 Amazing place to visit, On the edge have parking, you park your car there and pay at machine when you leave, take your food and drink with you because you will love to spend whole day there and walk down hill and up hill… Stunning scenery and a great spot to chill out. The beach is small stones so don't expect to make sandcastles. Dog friendly Watch out if you have a buggy or someone unstable on their legs because it's an uneven path and rugged steps. Also seemed very popular with tourists! Beautiful place with unbelievable landscape Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
