Welcome to Man O War where absolutely stunning walk to the coastline and beautiful scenery from the top of the hill. A lil walk about 20mins down to the through steep path down way and after that stair steps going deep down to the beach. Couple of benches halfway if you need rest. Clean and clear blue water for a nice swim but careful it’s bit cold. Enjoy the walk at pebble as well as atmospheric views of cliff and sea even sunset is more dramatic and romantic. There’s another superb just next door and it’s called Durdle Door which is 10 mins walk. Beautiful pebble with a backdrop of impressive grassy cliffs, accessed by a steep flight of steps. It's a nicely sheltered spot with the neighbouring cove and outlying rocks intercepting the waves, and quieter than Durdle Door beach. No facilities on the itself, allowing it to retain its wonderful unspoilt character, but there's a restaurant, shop and toilet facilities just inland, at the large Durdle Door parking area. Parking charge is £10 is 4 hours minimum stay (as of October 2024). The Durdle Door rock arch is a must see while you're visiting, and it's well worth walking the coast path to Lulworth Cove - it's a long climb back up the steps but totally worth it for the scenery. This is a stony next to Durdle Door which means that it's somewhat less photogenic but also less crowded. There's a bit more space to enjoy and perhaps more sheltered bathing. Still it's a bit of a pain to get to, given the steep slopes and steps, and you've got no facilities whatsoever down at sea level. So if you need the toilet or a cup of tea you've got to hike back up to the top of the cliff. Very pleasant and beautiful place. It offers a parking lot, which I don’t think it is expensive. Also there some places that sell ice cream and similarities. You can go to the beach, the mountain, etc. I will sure be back here, as it is lovely. It is a must go place! Exploring stunning Man O War is a must, with its natural harbor and beautiful beach. The hike up to Durdle Door, the incredible rock arch formation, offers breathtaking views—and a free cardio workout. You can spend the afternoon swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles like pros. The hike down to MOW is long and less crowded since most people opt for the easy path to Durdle Door. So, if you enjoy peace, quiet, and the chance to burn off your fish and chips, this spot is perfect! One of my favourite beaches in the country and great for a swim on a summer’s day. Larger than Durdle Door next door and nice cute pebbles. Water is cold and it can get busy on a hot day at school holidays but worth it! Brilliant attached to an epic costal town. Clear waters and a magical place. Paid parking but great value. Two separated beaches opposite each other Brilliant for swimming. If you like peaceful places, this is it. If you like walking and love an uphill challenge then then have a go at the coastal path. Be advised that this is a very tough hill, not for the faint-hearted. Man O'War is a stunning spot located along the Jurassic Coast, known for its picturesque views and natural beauty. The is nestled between dramatic cliffs, providing a secluded feel and a great place for a peaceful escape. The crystal-clear waters and unique rock formations make it perfect for photography, exploring, and swimming, though the pebble shore may not be ideal for sunbathing. Access involves a steep walk down, but the effort is well worth it for the breathtaking scenery. Overall, Man O'War is a must-visit for nature lovers and those looking for a tranquil seaside experience.
