It’s near Narsinghgarh and 90kms from Bhopal. Rainy season is best to visit here. In the center of this “Chidikho Lake” is situated which is one of the attraction among the tourists. This is built by the rulers of the state and in the ancient time this is used for hunting purpose by the rulers. Migratory birds from different places reaches here in this sanctuary. The situated here is having special appearance due to which the local people named this as “Chidikho Lake”. visited Chidikho Wildlife and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. It’s located near Bhopal and is surrounded by and a big lake. The is the heart of the and attracts many birds and animals. I reached early in the morning, and the weather was just perfect. I saw many birds like peacocks, ducks, and egrets near the water. There were also sambhar deer and nilgai roaming freely in the open areas. It felt like I was really close to nature. There’s a small watchtower near the lake, and climbing it gave a beautiful view of the and water. It was calm, quiet, and perfect for birdwatching or just relaxing. I also saw a group of school kids on a nature walk, which was nice to see. The has basic facilities like benches, clean paths, and resting spots. I even spoke to a guard who told me that leopards and crocodiles are sometimes seen here! The best time to visit is between November and March when the weather is cooler and birds are more active. Overall it was a great escape from the city. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife. A lovely place for a short getaway with family. A comfortable drive and the entrance is right on the highway. Then it’s a decent 3 km drive inside before you reach the guest house where there is a shade where we had lunch.
