Just visited the retail village and farm shop, plus of course lunch at the cafe. Interesting small businesses in cabins around the free car park. Bought a couple of things from the farm and had excellent ham eggs and chips in the cafe. Nice day so sat outside. Play area for children. Worth a visit think Dagfields but smaller and friendly. Cafe so much nicer as well. I haven't stayed there but we went for lunch. And it was such a lovely place. Very cosy with wholesome British food. The portions are huge... there are a lot of veggie options. My jacket potato was yummy. And there's a georgous farm too. Nice food, can get quite busy at peak times. Reasonably priced and size portions. Service eas very quick. Great food. Ideal location to meet for coffee and breakfast or lunch. Always a meeting spot for me and clients. We had lunch at Hopley House Farm. An absolute gem of a find. Great menu, choices, reasonable prices. The owner who served us was very accommodating and helpful. Busy and popular farm cafe. I loved this place. It was perfect for one person. I would recommend bringing a small fan - the can get really hot. The service was awesome, and everyone was so kind and helpful. My family and I had an amazing stay. Throughout the booking process and stay, David was fantastic. He is a very welcoming and lovely host. I would 100% visit again. The rooms were nice and cosy, the services were and the food on the farm was excellent. Could not have asked for more from our stay. Thank you so much David. Stayed for 1 night as part of a lands end john groats cycle challenge. What a great place to and amazing hosts in Dave and Emma. We ate and had very flavoursome and filling dinner. We had an early start so normally breakfast wasn't available but Dave offered to open early and provide us with bacon sandwiches. The bacon was excellent and served between proper fresh bread. Emma even washed the cyclist kit. What a wonderful helpful couple. If you are in the area please call in and stay. Have always stayed at travel lodge in middlewich but so glad i tried Hopley House was brilliant can not fault the place was easy to find and easy parking very friendly and polite staff and so much to look at only place i will use now when visiting Middlewich top marks all round Hi , we're huge fans of Hopley House and have been visitors of the fabulous cafe for 16years. Three days ago we decided to try their pizzas. On arrival we chose what we wanted from the menu above the counter only to be told that we don't do them any more ( I had checked the website the day before) . Not only were they unavailable that night, but had been withdrawn for the last 3 months. Update your site please, this is just not enough. Went for lumch with my little one. £6.50 for child's sandwich. It was half a sandwich with grated cheese and a handful of crisps. The bread was stale and hard around edges. As i went to pay, i explained to the lady on the counter how disappointed i was and she said "well did she eat it?" And then said "sorry about that I'll pass it on". Manager then saw me leaving and didn't seem bothered. Overly priced and won't return. Unfortunately only had 1 available when i booked which was very noisy next to main rd .However Davd did change the for me the following day when one became available. The was infact really no noise walk in shower (which is what I wanted) very pleased would here again in this room, thank you. Lovely at Hopley House in the 6 person flat above the coffee shop. David the owner was very welcoming and welcomed feedback and asked us to let him know if we needed anything. Very accommodating when we spoke to him and felt like he goes out of his way to make his guests enjoy a pleasant stay. Immensely enjoyed the after hours diner meal that is on offer throughout August, perfect for our first night. Next to a fairly busy road but we were away for most days and very quiet in the evenings. Lovely little shops to look around onsite, particularly the craft and boutique. Came for breakfast not hotel. Ordered a couple different breakfast options as a group. Each order was supposed to include doorstop toast as said on the menu however just standard thin sliced bread was served not what was advertised. Scrambled eggs were over cooked and flavourless and the sausages were great. Service was and staff were friendly.
