We came here as a group of 6. First time visiting and what a wonderful place. I had the Guinness and Ale pie. It was amazing. Very filling and loads of meat. Perfect. They had 0% alcohol on draft (1664) and a few guests ales. All our party enjoyed there food and it's a very good, long menu, plenty of choice. We'll come back. It was amazing overall. Anyone going here plz book your table, otherwise you have to wait which annoys honestly. quality and quality of food which was actually too much for me place for passing through The food was and excellent place to stretch the legs with a very short detour off the M6. Cosy pub with a large beer garden serving quality pub food and to match. Outstanding food. Highly steak and ale pie and chicken supreme Wow what a find this place was. Our friends chose the spot and nothing at all disappointed. The food was excellent, the ambience outstanding and the live singer was just perfect. Fish and came in 2 portion size's I chose the lighter option and believe me it was sufficient for a healthy appetite. Haloumi fries to start and no room for a sweet the portion size's where spot on. Highly you try this pub just off the M6 at junction 18. Well done to all the involved in this pub/ restaurant. Varied menu, tasty food and service. It did take a while for the food to come, but you could tell that it was freshly made. Would definitely visit again. We all opted for the £17.95 two course lunch and were treated to home made soup followed by fish and or burger and chips. Other options were available. Allergies were catered for without an issue. Thanks all for a wonderful afternoon. The food was fabulous and very competitively priced for the area. I would recommend. probably due to how busy it was to say the least was slow. The waitresses are very and my dish was really delicious , It's a very place to eat. very pub and food also pretty good,lots of gluten free options I had an awful here several years ago and after avoiding it for so long i thought I’d give it another chance, i ordered the fish and , unfortunately it came out well over done borderline burnt rock hard batter and overdone and tasted awful , i could only stomach 2 forks and i had to stop , my wife’s pasta was better but not at all , real shame as the pub itself is an attractive place with but I’m sorry to say the food was really poor . After asking for the bill they still had the fish on the bill and i had already told the waitress how bad it was and i couldn’t eat it , they eventually removed the fish from the bill but it still ruined our evening and i had to go home and cook for one . We got there early lunch on a week day so were the first in, we we're greeted with a smile but it was really cold once sat down. I ordered the fishfinger sandwich and my with had the steak and Stilton sandwich, which we had had each on the two. The fishfinger was definitely the best, streak was tasty but too chewy for me. Over all it was very nice. Was in the area 1 night whilst travelling... my first choice was The Slow & Easy pub for food and football. After they failed on both (closing the kitchen at 19.15) I decided to try the Fox & Hounds. So glad I did! I had the best (prawns with chilli, garlic and tomato followed by steak) and there was also a fantastic singer on whilst eating, definitely made my experience and the food was superb, tasty and well presented. The food was delicious - for both adults and kids, was prompt and friendly. The live music was top notch. Beer garden is huge and would be in summer, especially with kids. Wish this was our local! Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her immensely! Thank you to all at The Fox & Hounds. Totally this pub / restaurant to anyone. There was also some live music, which created a lovely atmosphere. I have started to become a little bit of a regular here, and for reason. Its simply fantastic! The food is amazing, portions and is competetively priced. The venue itself is outstanding, a lot of time, money and thought has gone into the whole place. Its very clean, the are very and is to walk into a place with a warm and kind of reminds you of the old days of going into a pub (theres not that many around anymore) and enjoying some grub in a very well put together place. Have just booked for christmas and my birthday. Will be for sure my new spot. Visited 22/2/25, the food we both had was delicious and the waitresses were hard working and polite. However the evening was spoiled by an over 45 minute wait for our food. When I complained ( after 30 minutes ) I was told it depends on what I had ordered! ( fish and and chicken supreme) then was told they cook in order, not true as several orders were brought out to later arrivals. All would have been fine if we were warned of a delay in the kitchen and not given bullshit excuses. We did receive a complimentary dessert and coffee as a belated apology. Such a shame as food was delicious and the singer was good. Please just be honest with customers in future and advise if there are delays in the kitchen. Must do better guys Gorgeous food & by all, thank you! My family and i have been meeting up here on a weekday every 4/5 weeks this years 2025 and i can honestly say none of us have ever had a bad . I think between us 5 we have tried most of the menu and aii was outstanding. . The cherry on the top of the menu has to be the steak and Guinness pie melt in your mouth steak and wonderful pastry. . is outstanding very a credit to the place .
