A very busy, pub and restaurant. The are busy but still have for you and look after you well. The portions are huge. A group of four could enjoy sharing one of their platters over a pint and a pudding if they have room. Try - the legendary chicken and ham pie Try - the onion rings Try - the fish and chips I've had the pleasure of travelling up and down these emerald isles and during that I've had a fair number of pub lunches, and I've never had such a consistent lunch as I have from the Three Greyhounds inn. I travelled 80 miles today just to eat there and it was well worth it for the onion rings alone. Great and helpful who go out of their way to help you. The decor is like stepping back in time, from the fire burning to the furniture and decorations. It's perfect. Met up with friends and had a most fantastic time. Had the ‘award winning’ chicken pie, the daily special brisket pie, and the seafood chowder. The pies had a crusty shell with generous fillings. Served super hot - just as it should be! The seafood chowder had decent-sized chunks of salmon and white fish, meaty prawns in a delicious sauce that wasn’t overly rich. All dishes came with crunchy chips Great pub, Dog friendly, selection of drinks, lovely food but took a little while we had some of the nibbles of which the fresh made Scott Egg was my Favourite, we they proceeded on to the mains which were delicious. They have a huge Beer garden at the back It was a really atmosphere and the were very helpful. Wow!!!! Best dog pub! The food is 10/10 I had the chicken and ham pie and it was the best pie over ever had, absolutely full of chicken! My partner had the beef burger and loved it. The outdoor area is great too if you have a dog. I've been a few times years ago and it has always been good. A small group of us met for lunch on Tuesday and I was a little underwhelmed this time. I had chicken pie which was mostly pastry. So much pastry I left alot of it. It lacked much taste. May have been an off day as I see most reviews are very positive. On the positive side there was a nice open fire and the were lovely. Found this place on google maps trying to find a decent dog pub with a variety of food & consistently reviews. We chose well. Was travelling back from a West Yorkshire stay bound for the Midlands. Greeted at the bar by very staff. Got our drinks sorted first and then sat out back in the lovely garden. The food came out in and was very good. The were very attentive throughout. It filled up in the garden after we’d arrived not long after it opens at 12, but it didn’t get too busy(a Wednesday) and had a nice mix of people. It’s obviously popular and we can see why. Pitty it isn’t closer to where we live. Service is everything and here they excel at it. Well done The Three Greyhounds Inn 👍. The young gent who served us initially (dark hair ?) was very and a credit to the Inn as were the ladies who bought our meals out. Just couldn’t not fault at all. One kf my favourite pubs - amazing fold everything and such a cosy place. I have been many times over the years but most recently with my friend and her baby - it's great that they have baby changing facilities too. The pies are my absolute favourite, specifically the cheese and onion! are always and accommodating and it's a great location to go for a lovely walk in Shakerley Mere. It was a pleasure to perform at The Old Doghouse (at The Three Greyhounds), and wow—what a place! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this venue has something truly special. The unique blend of rustic charm and contemporary style creates a laid-back yet incredibly stylish atmosphere. The ceremony had the perfect touch of class, personality and unique character, the afternoon reception was full of relaxed vibes, with guests enjoying the cozy surroundings and gorgeous outdoor spaces. But as the night unfolded? The party went off the charts! The energy in that room was contagious, and the dance floor was absolutely packed with guests dancing like there was no tomorrow. The were incredible, making sure everything ran smoothly and keeping the energy high all night. If you're looking for a venue that delivers both charm and a wild celebration, The Old Doghouse is the place to be. 10/10—we’re already counting down the days until we can be a part of another unforgettable night here! Inside was too dark and we wouldn’t have been able to see what we’re eating so we went outside. My friend asked for a well done steak and got what can only be described as still mooing. My plate was an abundance of red cabbage and not much else. Disappointed with the food and it came out frosty. Spent £30 and definitely not worth it. Got a flat coke for £3 too. A traditional cosy and inviting country pub, with excellent choice of very reasonably, fresh and delicious home cooked food. Always 5* exceptionally and inviting staff. We stopped for a drink after walking around the mere, great atmosphere and environment would highly recommend!
