Everything is overpriced, pre-packed, some products marked as local, are not! They sell radishes from Israel and EU. Very disappointing! Buy& local ought to be the motto. If you own a dog, you will sit outside on the 3 dangerous benches. If you want to order your food, you have to walk all the way back to the main entrance. There is a door near the benches but one is not allowed to use it because it is a fire door. However, when the food is ready, they are brought to you via the fire door! Staff can, customers cannot. This shop/restaurant/caffe is a lovely, quant, beautifully designed and well equipped place which is a real pleasure to visit. It offers comfort, warmth, splendid views, clean facilities, beautiful food and drinks, and a for all needs. The restaurant’s traditional menu, with a few daily specials, offers freshly prepared food, mostly sourced locally, and very well prepared. The is super helpful and friendly. The views around are idyllic and breathtaking! And although it’s adjacent to A65, it does not have the horrible, dirty, crowdy and unwelcoming feel of the usual petrol/service stations. It feels special, it welcomes you with brightness, the of produce is extremely high (no rubbish sold here!), the prices are reasonable. The offers imaginative and well made domestic products, toiletries, clothes, aromatic candles, and some beautifully individually designed pottery, glass and pictures. The food is stocked with local cheeses, meats, breads, vegetables and fruit. And the butchery is absolutely top notch. It’s really a wonderful and very comfortable place to stop at on one’s journey. The were helpful and friendly, which we really appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. Given that this is a farm shop, we were expecting fresh, flavoursome, high-quality produce. While the portions were generous and everything looked appealing on the plate, the actual taste fell flat. The scrambled eggs on toast, for example, were soft and well-presented, but completely lacking in flavour. The toast itself seemed to be standard bought bread rather than something freshly baked or locally sourced, which was surprising. The veggie cooked breakfast was similarly underwhelming — tomatoes and mushrooms were bland, and the veggie sausage wasn’t great. It all felt very average and generic, far from the “farm-fresh” experience we were expecting. To be fair, it’s possible the meat options like bacon and sausage are of better quality, but we did have these so can’t comment. Overall, I’d describe the experience as disappointingly average. If this had been a motorway station, it would’ve been above average. But as a farm promoting local and artisanal produce, it missed the mark. If you’re after real flavour and quality, I’d recommend heading up the road to Seasons Bakery, which serves genuinely delicious food. Food is delicious, and the is iffy. This venue is busy, and it may explain why each time I've been here, I've found the table can be poor. Not always, and not every member of staff. But I find some never smile,can be reluctant to serve you, never ask if you need anything else when clearing plates (their cakes etc.. are good, so no idea why they don't ask or offer more drinks). Personally, I'm not sure the draw of the food is enough any more for me. I will think twice about returning (I've tried a few times and always find could be better). Sells amazing gifts for all ages A truly amazing place. I'd been turned away from the community centre for 'not being local,' plus Ingleton stinks of trash burning. So I had very low expectations for the of the people of Ingleton. However, this place blew me away with how it was, and it redeemed my perceptions a bit. It was on the outskirts, the air was fresh, and everyone was so welcoming. I asked if I could charge my batteries and go to the toilet. They said 'sure.' I deliberately asked them before deciding to spend money there, just to make sure that they really were people, and not just being because I was willing to spend money. And sure enough, they were genuinely people. So I decided to eat in their cafe, and buy some soft drinks for the road in their store. The bacon sarnie was really nice, set me up well for the day. The drink was a really boutique lemonade. So many interesting things to buy, and a pit stop for anyone on the way to somewhere else. If I'm bicycling from Leeds to Kendal again, I'll use them for the 3 pin socket and toilet again! I don't mind coming out of anywhere with lighter pockets, so long as they understand my needs, and are about it. We live in Bentham so it's only around 15 minutes to Country harvest so we pop in every couple of weeks. I am a wheelchair user and every single member of are so kind and helpful, the access is and I can get around the whole shop. The cafe is really good, food and a choice of desserts to eat in or take away, it's always busy with a small queue but it goes down quickly so worth waiting. Highly recommend a visit.
