A nice, and Tidy caravan park, with a station to wash your clothes and shower. Everything was functional and really clean. It's located near Wallace monument. Nearby Woodsman restaurant is very recommended. Thanks for having us. We really wanted to give The Woods Caravan a higher score as we had a lovely holiday but ultimately the most disappointing part of it was the accommodation so the score has to reflect this. Firstly the positives: - Excellent location, close to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow and lots of things to do close by (although not so much within walking distance) - Beautiful views throughout the park - The hosts were very friendly and listened to our complaints. - Decent Restaurant/bar on site - The shower was excellent, despite the warnings of poor water pressure it was very powerful and the temperature never fluctuated. - Reasonable energy prices, don’t be put off by having to pay separately for gas/electric, we paid £10.80 for a family of 4 for a full week so not an issue at all. Negatives: - Cleanliness of the accommodation. We booked a mini and it really wasn’t at all. The drawers provided for clothes all needed wiping out, the blinds were caked in dust and there were hairs on the pillows. - Maintenance of the was poor. We had a light hanging from the ceiling, the bed felt like it need replacing as there was little support under the mattress and the whole felt very well used and tired with many items well worn and in need of replacement. - Location of the mini - this is specific to the actual mini we were in (number 11) but it was located so close to the path (where cars drive up) that privacy felt non-existent and people and cars were passing literally a few feet from the window. This wouldn’t be so bad but as the bed was located in the area where said window was located it didn’t feel private at all. Luckily the blinds did do a good job of covering the window. My Dad was located in number 13 and this was much more private as the window was away from the path facing a field. - The small kids play was very tired and in need of replacing. There were lots of broken bits and the whole structure didn’t feel safe in all honesty. In hindsight we wished we’d booked a as we didn’t realise that the sleeping area was not separated from the living area so you only actually get 1 bedroom with bunk beds in. And despite our issues with the we may well book again (bigger lodge) and hopefully they have rectified the cleaning issues, there’s so much to do round and about and we didn’t do half the things we wanted to as a week wasn’t enough. Beautiful campsite in a location - approx. 10 minute drive to Stirling. Lovely quiet campsite, with beautiful views of the hills - toilet/shower and rubbish facilities on were clean. Good size hard standing pitches - I would definitely recommend. campsite...Staff are welcoming and helpful. The pitches are spacious and level.. Two toilet blocks which are spotlessly clean..there is a small shop at reception and a restaurant on called The Woodsman which is fantastic.. would recommend. The is situated near Stirling, there are loads of things to see if you want to explore the area. A wee gem of a park. My wife, son, and I stayed in No.15, one of the smaller mini lodges. We found it to be very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The was modern with a fitted boiler, powerful shower and a cosy open-plan layout that felt well insulated and homely. Although our was on the path and near the road for cars and caravans, it really wasn’t an issue. We barely noticed any noise, and as for privacy, it didn’t feel intrusive at all. We didn’t even feel the need to close the blinds most of the time but they were there if we wanted them. We had everything we needed for a self-catering break, and we all slept well during our four-night stay. Our 2-year-old son especially loved the wee play park. The wooden train, rattly and old school became a favourite and he had a blast running across the climbing frame with the other kids. Lunch at the built-in picnic tables under the climbing frame was a highlight for him, it was a to see him so happy. The location is perfect for exploring central Scotland, with routes to Stirling, Edinburgh etc.. The views from the itself, especially looking out toward Alva and the Glen, are stunning. It’s easy to focus on the negatives in any experience, but for us, the positives far outweighed any small issues. We had a brilliant time as a family, made lovely memories and we’re already looking forward to returning. Thanks again to the friendly staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Stayed here for first time at start of May, the weather was glorious and so was the view. The rolling hills were amazing. The location is excellent, feels like you miles for anywhere but actually easily in reach of shops and amenities should you need anything. Fob entry to makes it easily accessible. The pitches are large and well laid out. The toilet blocks were and modern with showers. The restaurant just outside the was great, lovely food and friendly staff. regularly maintained the grass and empties bin whilst we’re were there. Cannot fault it, will definitely be back was beautiful. FANTASTIC SITE We booked 26/09/25 for three nights with our campervan... beautiful, spotless & VERY PEACEFUL... Staff friendly... Great size of pitches...we took our campervan, car + awning... Toilet block/Outside kitchen SPOTLESS!!! PLENTY HOT WATER... WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON !!!!!
