Truly fantastic hidden gem of a place. Very informative and great opportunity to see these beautiful up close. The demonstration and keeper talk was great. Entry prices are £11.50 for an adult and you can go in and out as much as you want during the day. Just amazing.. I've never been so close up to a owl before. I really nice morning out watching the of prey. You must watch the display it was fantastic. staff, lots of free parking and a really restaurant nearby. £9.50 for an adult to enter and it was worth every penny. We did the owl encounter and were able to hold an owl (with a leather glove of course) and it was to experience. The whole time they are teaching and informing. Love the staff, love the owls. I think it was a brilliant experience. While it is like a zoo, the aim of the is to give the a chance to recover their population and provide a safe haven. The enclosures are well looked after and the are so pretty. It's nothing like an owl cafe. I visited here with my partner today for the first time. I love as well and it's annoying it took me so long to visit. The are amazing, so many different kinds to see and learn about. This is the biggest collection of it's kind in the world which is amazing. The are all so different from each other not just in looks but sound and how they interact. Went to see the display which was fantastic and very informative. It's overall an excellent and it isn't expensive either which is good. Worth the visit. From the moment we arrived, the were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about these magnificent birds. The houses over 140 from around the world, and each one felt treated with care and respect. The were a breathtaking highlight — watching the soar gracefully, hearing their wings in motion, and learning about their habits in such an up-close setting was an I’ll never forget. The centre’s grounds are lovely, with picnic areas and an adventure playground for children, making it a full day out for families. And the gift shop offers unique items so you can take a little piece of the home. If you’re anywhere near West Lothian (or even further!), I highly recommend making the trip. It’s informative, inspiring, and utterly enchanting. Whether you’re an avid bird lover or just looking for a memorable day out, the Scottish Owl is a must-visit. We absolutely loved our here. The are so passionate about their care of the owls, their wellbeing is paramount. We arrived at 10:30 and didn't leave until 16:15 so we'll worth the entry fee (approx £20 for 2 adults). Highly recommended for anyone who loves owls, we saw a huge array of species, many of which we had not seen before. Even the rain didn't spoil it for us, as thankfully the are in an indoor arena. Picnic tables are undercover, and there's also a cafe in the same grounds. Thanks to all for a fantastic day. Absolutely centre, went for it opening on a weekday and it was really quiet. Enclosures are brilliant and customised to each owl, were all and knowledgeable, the show was brilliant the got so close and all the information was great. Would definitely go back LOVED IT so much. been wanting to come here for 10 years (not even kidding) and was really worth it. loved seeing all the owls, the display was really engaging! props to the really knowledgeable team for caring for all the owls, you can tell they’re really passionate about the 🥹🥹 seeing some of the kids stick their fingers through the enclosure mesh gave me a bit of anxiety though lol Apparently the biggest owl sanctuary in the world! You get to see them so close! display was so good! They fly 10cm above your head!! Would 100% go back! place if you want to learn a lot about and actually spend some time with them. There was an animal talk and displays. You can arrange private animal handling, as I did for my daughter’s birthday and also organise birthdays. You can take a photo with an owl for £5. There is a cafe next to it and a playground. Lovely place and people who have very wide knowledge about these animals. Highly recommend for a day out. We visited on a rainy day but that didn't matter at all. There were so many different species of to admire, I didn't realise that live in every corner of the world except Antarctica. It was really interesting to read about each species and where they were from. The has a good breeding programme and there were several enclosures where mums were in their nest boxes with eggs and babies. There is an undercover seating area packed with interactive suitable for children and adults alike. The talk and introduction to Tony the Tawny was very informative and the showed off these magnificent birds. Lovely gift shop. Also the neighbouring cafe was good. We'll definitely be back! Prices are not that bad considering everything and the are amazing:) Daughter loved the whole and the show! There is no words to describe how good the place is! The whole family was satisfied and happy with what we saw. Great people working there and always happy to give information. Definitely will be going back to see all these and enjoy the show. This place is amazing! I am a big owl lover, and I was blown away by how many different they have here. The are friendly, knowledgeable, and answer any questions you have. Nicole was absolutely fantastic and just the sweetest person. I even donated food for the year for a medium-sized owl, and the price wasn't as expensive as I would have thought. This place is magic with a lovely environment and feel. A must for an owl lover or anyone who loves conservation work. The information talk was a useful starting point. The family & i learnt some real interesting facts about the owls. We didnae realise just how many different species there are & how different each one is. That members are friendly, helpful & patient people. The toilet facilities are good & we had no problem parking the car. Its well worth a for adults & children I'm not kidding, plan to spend all day here. We arrived at around 11am and stayed until 4:30! The 'Meet the Birds' talk was very informative, even answering any extra questions from the audience. The is very and knowledgeable. The two show off different birds, so make sure to stay for both!
