Stumbled on this trail by chance as I was in the area for something else. I thought the whole area was wonderful and I really enjoyed the walk. Really nice place to spend time with family. Lots of places to around. Beautiful wee trail for a walk, not complicated at all. Perfect to be surrounded by nature 🌲 There are some nice picnic benches where you could seat for a small lunch, just please take the trash you bring with you Multiple routes around the Forest, plenty of gravel tracks and quite a few red squirrel. Easy walks mainly flat with occasional small inclines. Good enough for everyone. Walking to the Loch's and Dam are straight forward using Google maps for point of direction. Lovely place for an afternoon walk! A very pleasant wooded around a small loch. No sign of a Red Squirrel unfortunately, must have been there day off. Lovely place very peaceful. Could do with more litter bins and or doggy bins. And maybe someone to sell food and drink on hot days Great for walking the dog. There are not any bins on the trail, so there is a bit of litter around despite the signs. Also, a lot of dog waste around that owners haven’t bothered to pick up. Pretty quiet when you are walking Excellent forest with benches for picnics and small lochs for some great, scenic, views. Watch out for the rocks in the car park as I dented my bumper when reversing.
