A beautiful 12th century ruin which took a bit of getting too, about 20 minutes/6 miles from the main A465 and tricky narrow lanes in places but once there it's well worth 30 minutes of your time. Some information boards dotted about and the charming little church directly opposite is certainly worth a look too. Free to enter and free car parking and there are some beautiful walks surrounding. Apparently there is a cellar bar there too! Very nice way to spend a bit of your time. Not dog friendly I must add! Abbey ruins in a beautiful setting. Good information boards. Carpark with some picnic benches and toilets. Overflow carpark to the left before main carpark. Priory ruins are located in absolutely beautiful location. Free car park and entrance. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on site. They need to be chained outside. Situated in the Black Mountains The ruins of this 12th Century Priory is a historical landmark set in the beautiful Llanthony Valley within the Brecon Beacons. It's location is a little bit remote but with the stunning landscape, this is a lovely little visit. There is a cafe/ Pub there but is closed on a Monday the day i visited. Plenty of free parking. Well signposted footpaths to explore the lower slopes or the high hills. Well worth a visit. Quite remote, bit worth the trip. There is a cafe. Very hot when we went, so didn't venture up into the hills, but I would imagine the views are amazing. Lovely quiet spot. Very well kept. The hotel cafe and bar is run by very friendly people and we had an excellent dinner there in the evening. Highly recommend stopping off or staying locally Lovely place, car park has plenty of space, is free and right next to the priory! There are information signs about the history of this place. There’s a cafe on the same location and is closed on Mondays, if that’s a concern. Awesome ! I love it ! Beautiful priory . Nice basic campsite. Little pub sells drinks and snacks. Car park and two toilets. Cosy hotel in the Priory. Interesting historical location. Good for kids. Tap in the top of the field and a fun tyre swing . Cute horses. My daughter and her friends love it so much ! Scenic views and nice hill climb. Sits in a lovely Welsh valley near Abergavenny. I totally recommend it!!
