The only thing I can recommend at this place is the view which is why I've given the two stars for atmosphere. We were overcharged by a massive 15 Euros! When this was questioned the woman had to readjust nearly all the prices charged. It really felt as if they were on the make and thought we wouldn't notice 2 Euros here 3 Euros there. The woman doesn't tell you she has a card machine and encourages cash so that there is no trace of what you've been charged. Luckily we did pay by card. All prices were massively hiked. Our Pina colada shake was 6.50 and had less in a glass than the 4 euros we paid for a better made and more substantial one at the whale museum. The food - just don't bother, we can honestly say we've never eaten worse meals. They even charge extra to put butter on your bread! Please be warned. They are getting away with daylight robbery! AVOID - AVOID - AVOID! Staff is extremely rude and unpleasant. Overpriced. And the most disgusting Bolo do Caco we’ve ever tried on Madeira. We took one with meat - there was actually more fat than meat itself; it was marinated in a huuuuge amount of vinegar with gigantic pieces of onions which just burns the mouth. We stayed at the Airbnb nearby, and this was our closest place to have some meals. I didn't expect much from a snack bar, besides, we came so late the bar was about to close, nevertheless our order was accepted and dinner was served. We had absolutely delicious meals: vegetable soup and chicken stew with fries. We felt welcomed and taken care of. The owner cooks herself and really cares if you enjoy your meal. I won't even mention the stunning view from their outdoor terrace which alone is worth visiting. We are definitely returning. Good coffee, vere cosy atmosphere, but most importantly great view! I ordered tuna steak with fries only for 15€ and it was soooo tasty, meal was so big! I don’t know why this bar have bad points, but from me 5! Very delicious food! 30€ for 2 person. We’ve ordered “filets ed espada” and “picado de carne de porco” Was too delicious 🥰 Staff was extremely rude and unpleasant and they were constantly arguing. For food we can honestly say that we’ve never eaten worse meals… The only thing that i very recommend at this place is amazing views..
