Good views of the Isle of Grain and the Thames Estuary Super with relaxed vibes - that for me somehow echoed vibes in Europe. We caught the end of the day sun and had a nice dip. Lots of on the road just above the (that you would have to pay for during the day) - and relatively quiet road :) Very pretty at the low tide. It always fascinates me to see the way boats get stuck in the mud at low tides. The is not busy at all. Saw only a handful of sunbathing people. Good place to visit Great for walk or run at any time of the day. I tend to qalk along the first thing in the morning, with the fresh breeze coming in off the water. Rhe view on s good day is brilliant and worth going down uo the for. The place is really clean and the area pebbled all the along the to Southend and Shoeburyness. The only issue is most of the promanade area has meters so you either need to pay to pay or find a space on one of the side street. I tend to park on the one of the side streets. Nice quiet beach. There is along the which is pay and display but also free a few roads away. Public toilets available but beware they close the gates to the toilets at 8. Only less than an hour drive from Barking. Nice for picnic and dayout with family and friends. Great for families. Nice and quiet away from the madness of the amusements. Although they are great it's nice to travel along the road and get a different experience for the children to have a play in the sand and a paddle. Nice break for the grandparents too. Since this is the Thames Estuary, we decided not to swim, but we had a quiet, relaxing time sitting on the and walking in the water. I just spent a couple of hours doing some work in my camper van, overlooking the sea. The view was lovely, but the price of is why I have given a lower score. Bushy, stoney beach! Almost no sand, hard spikey surface! You are lucky if you find sand to play for your children. Rocky Lovely place to visit, lots of huts along the walk up to the bay. Dogs are allowed on the at this moment in time, a little bit pebbly and sandy but a fabulous walk for all. Loads of parking, some of it free and some places require payment. There are public toilets which are always clean.
