Didn't book on a Saturday lunch. Seated fine. They lady was very kind to my elderly nan. She offered a smaller portion of ham and eggs and discounted it. My nan was sad she didn't have change for a tip so will make up for it next time. It was our first visit here and will come again Very nice restaurant. An upgrade from buddies which used to be there. The foods delicious and it’s worth the money. A good variety of drinks too First time dining here. The reviews are spot on. Food was excellent, our hostess was fabulous nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks I thought this place was really something special. Such a warm welcome and efficient service. The menu isn’t huge, but it had exciting choices and the scotch egg was a highlight. The gammon steak was something else, it was cooked to perfection. Great portion size, also nice to not be ripped of as is alarmingly common eating out nowadays. Only issue was they had ran out of chicken breast so I couldn’t get a chargrilled chicken burger. Strange thing to run out of… but the southern fried chicken burger was decent to be fair. Atmosphere 100% We hosted a wedding party there and from the initial meeting to the end of the event Tom, Meghan and the were absolutely fantastic. Their support, organisation and advice made it the most incredible day. The food was outstanding, the function room and garden absolutely spot on. All the guests praised the pub, food, and drink. We could not have asked for it to have gone any better. The Olde Cobbler helped finish the wedding on a real high. I would 100% recommend holding an event here, they just took all the stress away. My stepson and I turned up for a Sunday breakfast at 11am, not knowing the kitchen was just closing. The friendly asked if we would okay and was accommodated. We made a quick decision respecting the situation. On receiving our breakfast (Great British Breakfast) we could not believe what we had been given. The presentation was good and without saying was probably one of the best breakfast we have had in Northampton. Would very much recommend The Olde Cobbler As a bicycle rider, I found this place to be the perfect pitstop before continuing long journey. The beautiful and clean outdoor seating area provided a refreshing break from the road. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot to recharge. The food was also great, with a number of selection of starters that were both delicious and energizing. The were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant and hospitable experience. Fantastic choice for cyclists looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stopover. Highly recommended! Very well catered for our table of 5 today for a family lunch. All 5 meals were cooked fresh and served hot and the portions were all great too! A warm welcoming pub serving hearty british food, what more could you want! 5⭐️ Had an amazing Sunday roast here. The were very smart, friendly and attentive. The place was clean and the food was amazing and reasonably priced. 100% the best roast dinner out in Northampton. Super friendly and attentive staff. We’ll be returning for sure. Tom, Megan and team, well done! Went to the Olde Cobbler this evening for an xmas meal with 32 friends. They also had another big group in at the same time. Desoite this, all of our food came out in great time, all the orders were correct and the food quality was excellent. The wait regularly checked that everything was OK, was excellent and very friendly - this place is a real asset. I recently held a Celebration of Life for my late husband in the function room. From the very start I was treated with respect and kindness from Tom and his team. There was an excellent choice of menu available and the presentation and quality of food was first class. I would like to thank Tom and his for their kindness and professionalism. Honestly you can’t compete with this place. Having been a pub landlord for most of my life I’ve not come across such a great who literally do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable, a massive testament to Tom and Kev the bar manager who is literally something else, what a legend. The starters we had were delicious and we were all enjoying ourselves but my Dad was poorly (his heart not the food!) Megan and the were amazing, kind and considerate. They cleared the room for the ambulance crew and telephoned my my Mum later on to see how he was getting on. We are hoping to all go back at some point, we can't thank them enough for their kindness! I called through the week to see if they had a table for 11 people and they were more than happy to seat us all. I explained that we had booked a table at another restaurant for mothers day the week before and we were left over an hour with no dinner so we all went home with having no dinner that day. We were treated so good yesterday, they went above and beyond to make sure that us as a family got our mothers day meal together. The food was absolutely amazing and so were all the that served us. Us as a whole family would like to say a big heart felt thankyou to you all and we will all most definitely be back for another one of your delicious Sunday dinners. I’ve been here about four times now and the food is always good, but the has always been okay but today the was awful. I shouldn’t have to sit at a restaurant for 1 hour 40 minutes! We wanted dessert but no one checked on us for 40 minutes and I shouldn’t have to be the one to call someone over! It took 35 minutes for someone to clear our food when we were done. Again this ain’t my job to grab someone to clear my table. I probably won’t go again after this.
