My crispy buttermilk chicken burger was divine with just the right amount of coleslaw and fries. Hubby loved his steak and ale pie with delish mash and green veg. Thank you to Chef Tom! Today I went to celebrate my friend Mo birthday as a vegetarian most of the options I get with a Sunday dinner is something drowned with the cheese but not at the old Swan had a nut roast and it was delicious best Sunday dinner I have ever had at a pub or restaurant definitely telling all my family and friends well pleased with the whole experience Excellent fish and chip dinners here. (I haven't tried anything else yet!), I chose icecream as a dessert and was shocked at the massive portion size! 5 scoops!!! Staff are and helpful A place I'll return to and be happy to take friends to. Great pub ! The steak with peppercorn sauce was cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the biscoff cheesecake, this was heavenly. Outstanding service. Will definitely return. Well worth a road trip. I orded the Jerk chicken bowl and the other people I was with got the chicken bowl, braised ribs and the chicken burger. The food was decent and it was all-in-all good however the juice was concentrated and from a carton so if you only like fresh like me I wouldn't advise getting the juice. I'd recommend though have fun! Wonderful bar Great place to meet menu was great Pleasant little pub, it can be a squeeze due to its size when moving around but a nice place to be. Food was reasonably priced, and worth it. All 5 of us had different meals, which were well presented and we all enjoyed them. Had a trip here with my Nan for lunch! Great choice on the menu and really loved the vegan options. Menu was clearly labelled and lots of choice for my Nan! Loved the seniors promotion (she’ll be back). Had a great choice of wine and gins. The were super and helpful and could tell they really cared. Such a spot - loved the pictures of Earls Barton on the wall. We came today to Barkers Shoes from Halifax We went here for lunch & drinks What a place The food was amazing Staff friendly, welcoming and great service Nothing was too much trouble Thank you very much Hubby and I shared the Lamb kofta main....absolutely beautiful meal! Would highly recommend. We went at lunchtime, sat inside, was a little quiet but that was exactly what we wanted! village pub, delicious food and great atmosphere. Not busy at all on a Saturday afternoon. Nice side of the pub for a quiet drink then the other side is more family and watching the sports. This was my first time coming to this pub, and I don’t think I will ever go back. First off all I felt the were rude. I have a few allergies myself and told the waitress she said that’s fine for what I wanted to order and then my meal came out and had poppy seeds on them but luckily for them I’m not allergic to poppy seeds. Then to top it all off I then had severe food poisoning as my pie I ordered was not cooked hot enough the whole way through. Very disappointing. place to pop in for lunch after a dog walk. Seating outside , dog bowls and treats provided and food for us was so fresh and well presented.
