If you go there you may have breached your car hire agreement. There is no close parking on the Dutch side. The historical information and photos are very good and the facilities are good too. However do not step in the stream because it is against the law. Which countries laws, who knows because half is in Germany. Some considerate folks left their empty beer cans at the point.
