Average food quality is high, but the prices are unreasonably high, for a mountain retreat, even considering the quality (we spent 15 Euros for two slices of cake and two espressos). Great restaurant with a good menu. The staff was nice and quick. The food was tasty, and the portion was right. But it's a little pricey, which is okay for the location. After a long climb, we finally sat down at an outdoor table, ready to order. The waiter, who had dirty hair, approached us and asked if we could move inside so "other guests could use the table." It was windy and cold, so we agreed. However, when we got inside, all the tables were occupied, and there was a queue waiting for seating. When we returned to our original table on the terrace, it had already been taken. What a warm welcome! To add to the experience, the waiter was walking around setting cutlery on tables, but his fingers were frequently touching his face. In the end, we probably saved not just some money but also avoided picking up a few germs. Fantastic Refugio. We stayed overnight and had breakfast lunch and dinner. Enjoyed everything we eat, especially the dumplings, the cheesecake, and the stinco (braised pork shank). The drinks are very fairly priced $5 spritz, $12 liter of house wine. But what really makes this place shine is the staff, so friendly and helpful! The rooms were also very comfortable (shared bathroom and no shower facilities). Special Refuge ! The people is really nice and the most important , the refuge has amazing view and atmosphere! They spend time and love to build it ! Ι think the price was worthy , but In general, I could be better ( food , drinks etc .. but all north Italy is expensive in my opinion , so nevermind ) . Thanks for the hospitality and your time ! Even though I have tobest with 1 start. After waiting 15 for a waiter I talked to one of the staff members who promise sending someone to my table. After waiting additional 15 mins hunger and thirst was calling so left. Cannot rate rooms but restaurant is superb - amazing (this word around Lago di Garda gets different level of meaning).
