What a great place for a day out. We went on a sunny weekend in the school summer holidays so we were expecting it to be packed. We were pleasantly surprised to find it no problem to park. Reasonable parking charges were a bonus! Although the paths right close to the were busy, once you got into the it was quiet. The Gruffalo trail was an added bonus for my young sons. They just loved it. Plenty of places to play around and bike hire available from right near the visitor if you want to do it on two wheels. Fantastic day out. Really forest, car park is good and lots of spaces, it cost us £8 for the day. The cafe is with lots of seating, quite pricey but quality. The itself is really nice, it's really clean and we saw some birds and squirrels. We went on the superworm trail which was brilliant, our kids (age 9 and 4) managed the walking with minimal complaining. There are toilets at the visitor but we didn't find any round the forest. Delamere is my favourite ever. You can do a two hour around the lake but other walks are also available. It's a great space for kids especiallywith the gruffalo trail. They also have a visitor centre, toilets and coffee shop. Good organized live concert at Delamere Forest. We had luck with the weather to join a wonderful gig. Everything good. Just the last bus at 22:30pm was not a good finish as we needed to leave the concert earlier to be at time at the bus. Therefor one star less. Lovely place to visit with family. Lots of to follow and explore very clean and mainly litter free just sadly a few dog owners who bag their dogs poo but think it's acceptable to leave it in the forest. Went out 08.30 on a Monday AM for a run and place was deserted. It'd rained like crazy all weekend but main paths/trails were and dry. Didn't see any rubbish or dog mess - lovely place What a beautiful place to get away from the city. I love the smell of the forest. Free to get in. £10 parking for the day. £3.50 for an hour. Large picnic area outside the visitor centre. Information office was very helpful. Several different trails. We did the easy green trail. Well sign posted and good for families with pushchairs. Dog walking paradise..all owners were very responsible. Lots of different trees. A lake. Really lovely day out. ♥️ Plenty of toilets at the visitor centre. Clean too....everywhere was clean. Café sells coffee with oat and soy milk, but you have to pay 75p more. It's absolutely beautiful, fun for all ( literally), Very very well kept / maintained, alot of fun activities for all the family....cafe, parking, nature trails, information desk it has it all. We can not wait to return 🙂 Delamere is a beautiful place to take the dogs for a walk. There are many different that you can take, most of them lead around in a big circle so you will always end back at the carpark you left. There are many small car parks available around the forest. Many of them are free to use. They have stone and dirt paths to them so I would highly recommend slowing down to not damage your car. There are many dog bins dotted around and some small stop of points with a bench from time to time. It is a lovely relaxing and you are able to see some beautiful animals area too. Everyone we bumped into was extremely friendly and this went for all the dogs we met too. Feels lovely to be outdoors for awhile. Beautiful little through the and around the moss. We parked nearby and completed a lap around the lake in maybe about an hour. You past the go ape as well which can be cool to see people climbing through the trees. Lovely place for a It’s a huge set of walks for dogs, horses, bikes, safe for everyone. Plenty of things to see and do but most importantly just to be out and enjoying the nature and scenery. Luckily we live pretty much on it so are there several times a week with dogs, kids, bikes. Depending where you are in it, they have amenities, loads of kids areas, and wigwam building, and big rope village thing, bike rental, plenty of parking and even an event place for the summer where they good artists coming to play as well. scenery and great walks 👍🏻 £7.60 for an hours around a pond We go there really often with our annual membership and really enjoy the mtb as they are quite easy but then have older dirt that are older if you want something alot harder.
