The hand reared beef burger with truffle parmesean fries. The scone had raisins instead of golden ones. Very thick bottom. It was alright. The mince on the hand reared beef was very very fine. It was almost the texture you'd find in a sausage or kebab meat. It had a lot going on with the burger sauce, onion jam, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The truffle fries lacked the truffle oil, for an extra £1. Always a good stop. Serves a till 11.30am. Chef quality superb. Only serves natural juices no name brand cold drinks. Wifey had soup which she liked. I picked the signature Lambing shed burger which I thought lacked a bit of pizzazz and colour, I told the waitress it could do with a salad and within five minutes was presented with a beautiful salad to complement the dish. The food is good, and the are and friendly, thay asked us twice if the meal was ok even though they were run off there feet. It was full . Very with a good too. Food was very and the shop/cafe is in a area. Even for a rural the prices are high. £16 for a then another £4 for a coffee. The was very but only on par with other similar places. It was very busy so noisy as a result. The service was quick and efficient considering how busy the girls were. Overall it was to visit somewhere different but I wouldn't rush back. We visiting The Lambing Shed with our dog for on our overnight getaway. We were seated in the conservatory under the heater which was and cosy. We were quite early on in the morning and unfortunately the conservatory felt quite dirty and grubby. It didn’t look like it had been swept for a while and the glass needed a quick wipe as there were murky smears all over the window we were seated by. The young girl who seated us was really friendly and welcoming, unfortunately she didn’t really serve us for the rest of our visit. The man who took our order and brought our food was definitely not as friendly and welcoming. He made us feel very rushed (it wasn’t busy) and as though he had better things to be doing. I ordered the and my partner ordered the veggie breakfast, which offered a option for vegetarians (halloumi and avocado). The food arrived hot and was mostly tasty (the sausage tasted a little bit odd), the meat just felt a little on the small side for the price, some potatoes (from the veggie breakfast) on the meat would’ve been a addition. Overall we found this place very pricey, especially for a bottle of water. The price we paid for 2 breakfasts and 2 bottles of water was the same as the price we had paid elsewhere for a evening meal with two alcoholic drinks the night before. We were told by one of the that we could take our dog in the shop, which we then got yelled at by a woman on the meat counter as we stepped foot into the shop, which was really embarrassing. The lady working in the outdoor flower in the corner of the car park was and we had a chat about the local area with her. The flower and plant is very quaint and reasonably priced. We would not visit this place again. We hope the young waitress received our tip and not the rude man. My Wife and I called in for the very first time. We were greeted by a very lady who showed us to our table. She gave us the menu and asked if there was any drinks we would like whilst choosing our meal. Coffee's were quickly delivered. A few minutes later she returned to take our order. As it says on the menu, meals are prepared to order. Therefore you can expect to wait a little while. (If you want Fast Food, go to McDonalds.) Picked some up from the for a small gathering at home and they were so delicious we’ve already decided to order more for Boxing Day. Beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and packed with quality meat — true homemade comfort food at its best. Highly recommend to anyone looking for proper, hearty pies. We’ll definitely be back!
