I was pleasantly surprised with the price of a pint, costing £4.50 It’s not uncommon at venues like this to see prices of £5-6 a pint. The toilets were also kept nice and clean, the staff were friendly, the outside seating area is a great touch and overall this is a good for medium - large size parties. Cannot comment as somebody who booked the party and paid for the venue, but as a guest, was great. Lovely for our wedding reception, great spread of food My customer chose the Old Grammarians as an alternative to a marquee due to poor weather. In the end it was the best choice they made as the was stable, dry with lovely facilities. They saved a fortune as it was much cheaper than hiring a marquee. The catering comes extremely well priced and the bar is well stocked and well priced too. Ideal for parties, receptions, christening etc with fantastic outdoor space and good car park! To be honest, the place needs more toilets around the fields. Today, with all the events, just to get from 1 field into the main building, it took forever. I understand that this amount of people is not daily, but you guys surely can have arranged portacabins around the fields and just close them off if not needed. Went here for a birthday party, it is clean and quite spacious. Area around the bar very comfortable. A can of pepsi was £1.60 Overheard some guests saying they thought some of the alcoholic drinks tasted watered down. Fantastic meal. Came for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Kev the chef can certainly cook well. I had the tenderloin wrapped in Parma ham and served with the red wine jus. Was fantastic. My partner had the homemade lasagne. Faultless food and service. Really nice compact with friendly Bar area and good dancing area with low light option. Great atmosphere for a Barn Dance, around 60 dancers. A great night was had by all, thoroughly recommended for events of all sorts, great Car Parking as well.
