My grandson went here with his mum, nan and uncle. Nice place to learn to with staff on hand to give help and advice when needed. He caught too, a barbell, bream and carp so he was well happy. Very well set out. On the Oaks lake, every peg has lilly pads. Highly recommend trying bread as bait! Lovely lakes food and good shop well run very clean I lived amazing moments! A place like heaven, beautiful and quiet. Everything is taken care of. You can buy what you need for fishing. It is a canteen where you can order food or drinks. We will definitely come back next time. It's a bit more than a pond. Fantastic fisheries like this are very few, and this one must surely rate at the top. There is also a super cafe and tackle shop. Don't miss the rifle range. Superb all round went there today to use the air gun range, very well organised, great safety attitude, great facilities, friendly staff. Been here a handful of times, and it never disappoints. I've been for 30 years and beat two of my records here. 29lb common and 37lb Wells catfish. It's a place of beauty. The lakes are all really well laid out. There's no public access, so you get complete peace. The are in excellent condition and really well cared for. The owner, Dax, is a genuinely nice humble and friendly guy who's always happy to give advice. I would highly recommend if you have not been before. Great venue will be back. Nice venue, with some nice fishing. Carp, Tench, Roach, Bream, Barbel, Crucial Carp. People are very friendly and lovely cafe on site for hot food and drinks. Also has a tackle shop. Well hosted by Dax who is a great guy. Never a bad experience. I fished the Moat Lake for the first time and enjoyed some tremendous silver fishing. 31 in total, which included 24 crusian carp, bream, a chub, a young tench and 4 roach which included one decent sized fish. The only species missing was a barbel. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, especially John who gave some really good advice on how to the water. Would definitely recommend the fishery and will be returning again when my work does not get in the way. Myself and my 2 sons age 10 and 14 have just spent 2 full days at wold farm. I found the online booking process simple to use and the postcode supplied easily lead us straight to wold farm. We were able to park close to our spot, we made our way to the cafe and booked ourselves in and purchased a few essensials from Island tackle shop which is well stocked and reasonably priced. The cafe was almost full and everyone was so friendly and welcoming offering my boys some very welcome and useful tips. We found the whole place tidy and very well kept, we were able to find a really good size swim big enough for all 3 of us to from. The Islands lake that we fished from was very well stocked and the looked happy and healthy ( my son says that I must mention what perfect condition all the fishes lips are in ) in the 2 days that we fished we managed to catch over 50 carp ranging from about 2lb to 8lb some fancy goldfish and 9 barble and a few silvers. We have had the most amazing 2 days and definitely with be retuning very soon. Thankyou to Dax for helping the boys to have such a great time while complying to the fishery rules. So to sum up our couple of days I would say wold farm fishery is a well run , friendly and really well stocked fishery.
