Not dogs fault just thick owners. Then they'll tell you 'ooh he's only being friendly' as it jumps up your 4 year old who's trying to football. Good for dog Walks and children's . Only criticism is that there are not enough dog bins and benches, one of the benches was really in a poor state, not fit to sit on ! Good selection of equipment. Large field some dog walkers but respectful of kids area. Car so handy. The rec is a lovely where local football clubs Saturday and Sunday games. The pitches have to be inspected before games because of dogs fouling them. Also their can be caravans on the rec at times die to travellers pitching up The council have done their best to stop this happening but sometimes are too late Great for the kids to run and about. Also great for football training! Pitch good for this time of year. The changing rooms are okay & well cleaned. Only bad point is the parking is Its terrible no spaces just on the grass or on the main road... Best place to sit and chill Or u can even devour a pizza 😂 Could have more benches tho honestly! Lovely for dog walking and great for the kids with some accessible items. Lots of local football teams use the rec who dont clean up after themselves, leaving rubbish along the sidelines. Football goalposts are available plenty of for people to walk and exercise their dogs. For my grandchildren there is a wonderful selection of swings, slides, roundabouts and climbing frames. This has been enhanced at what must be at great expense and skillful development of facilities.
