Everything is fantastic,spicless. In shopping don't have any gift with Princess Diana. Rely sad Princess ❤️ Very serene peaceful place. Visited on a warm sunny day which was beautiful. A fitting place for such a compassionate woman. Serene and Tranquil part of Althorp Estate, plenty of benches to sit and look at where Diana is buried on the island. The Temple which was dedicated to her is beautifully kept ,the flowers which have been laid by members of the public is touching too and shows how much she was loved This really is a beautiful and serene place for Diana’s memorial. A short walk from Althorpe to a small lake with a well kept path all the way round it. There is an island in the middle of the lake where her actual is. It’s such a sad story of a beautiful, young princess, taken too soon but this is a fitting for her final resting place. This is a great stately home to visit, walk around the grounds and visit Diana's memorial. Sad to find out her remains are not actually there as they reside in the family vault at Great Brington Church. Peaceful resting place for Diana. Private island so she is not disturbed. The gardens are not huge so I we had quickly walked round. Take a picnic if it's a dry day . We did not go in the house but I would recommend doing it or your visit might be brief. Very serene around "The Oval" (Princess Diana's resting place) with wooden benches available to sit on and have a moment to reflect. Amenities such as toilets and a small Café, Giftshop also available. One of the most tranquil places and a must see for the Peoples Princess. Only open for a few weeks each year so book early to avoid disappointment. Review – Princess Diana at Althorp I visited the Princess Diana at Althorp with high expectations, having seen the photographs and televised footage over the years. On screen, it appears to be an elegant, grand structure befitting both Diana’s memory and the Spencer family’s heritage. In person, however, the reality was startlingly different. The is not the imposing granite monument one might imagine — something that a family of such means could easily have commissioned. Instead, it is a small, very plainly constructed wooden structure with paintwork that appears rushed, almost as if it had been assembled in just a few hours from a flat-pack kit. The craftsmanship felt far below what I expected for such an important site. That said, I still paid my respects, taking in the quiet surroundings and reflecting on Diana’s life and legacy. But I left feeling quite gobsmacked that such a globally significant figure is commemorated here in such a modest and, frankly, underwhelming way. Although I have never been here, I feel how beautiful it is here. Maybe one day not far away, I will definitely come here once. If I am in England, I will go there often except when it's closed. I will come to talk to her every day. She is a kind-hearted person who always understands and listens to others, so I am very willing to confide in her.
