It's a disaster, depending on which direction you go down the level 1, part of that parking is blocked , you have to go down from the middle of the elevator, then you won't find the car because it's disappeared like in other reviews. There's no clear instruction or direction in the airport, nor on the sixt app whatsoever. Car and hire was easy, but immediately on reserving the car, they me 20 EUR. The trip ended up being less than 10. Why don't they charge the consumed amount AFTER the trip like everyone else? This kind of admin mess is not appreciated. Sehr convenient! The cars are Mixed amongst drive now and not so clearly sign posted. Many cars Available and gps can’t work deep in a concrete basement so it’s a bit hard to find the one nearest you etc But once I got going, great car, nice experience and did exactly what I wanted. Drop-off was easy and straightforward. It's quite expensive and you have to wait in line for 40 minutes. And when I returned the car, they me an extra 30 euros for cleaning the car. This is the first company that has me for cleaning the car. worst service ever. I am still amazed how sixt manages to hire so bad service.. I've called to complain my voucher is not being applied only to be schooled that I as a am doing it wrong. I've asked for an extension for the voucher as its so complicated to use it. and then I'm told it's my fault that I don't want to learn how to apply it. I mean if you have to teach people, maybe it's not intuitive. and when I'm telling them, hey guys this is not intuitive, drivenow makes it easier.. just improve it, I'm told to use drivenow. I guess I'll take the advice of the sixt share service and stick with drivenow.... for a 20€ voucher you guys lost a loyal customer. I'm still perplexed how bad the service is and how unfriendly they can be. I returned the car to where I picked it up. However, it did not let me as it said I was not in the business zone. Result was I had to drive around until it said I was in the business zone. It would be nice if it was clear if you were in the business zone on the rental detail page. Also some help to get back there would be really useful! The result was it cost me 4€ more coming back than going. If you are travelling within the business zone this won't be an issue but where you are on the border it can be really frustrating. If you are sensitive to smells then maybe not the best option either. The car on the way out smelt of tobacco, the return journey gave an unpleasant odor I couldn't identify. However, all cars came equipped with windows 😜 I could not find the first car I reserved as it was not in the designated Sixt parking area. The second car I reserved had an orverheating warning as soon as I started it. I ended the rental immediately and reported the issue, yet I have still been charged. The third and final car worked out ok, but I was informed through the app that I was no longer eligible to a free reservation as I had already used two. This was a very uncomfortabe experience as I had two colleagues with me at the time and it was late in the day. And my drive was only 5 min. But I had to pay for 15 min!!! The reason - application was giving me an error and the time kept going in the end I paid 3 times more and was late for my appointment!!! I was a very loyal customer, but I believe it's time to switch to Drivenow! IT IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!! I was 211EUR for 30mins ride to the airport. BEWARE! despite of the car being locked down and the communicate the rental was finished, I was still wrongly. Note that there is no hotline phone to connect to Sixt service on application. Also the Munich airport has a very weak LTE Mobile phone signal, and quite often it is not possible to even open the car there. Take metro or taxi instead, seriously alles bestens Very easy pick up and drop off.
