Really cool place to come watch planes. Several are located in the visitors park. They were not open to see much of when I was there, but good photos from the outside. Restaurant to grab a bite to eat. Plenty of areas for to play. Great souvenir shop. Well worth the to spend a few hours alone or with the family. Amazing hill to climb to watch all the movements at Munich Airport. Great experience. Excellent option for the kids! We didn't the inner museum, because it was a paid tour. The outside park was perfect, loved it. There are an airplane for kids, a control tower and a zip line. For 1 euro you can enter in two of the three airplanes in the exhibition. For 1 more euro you can go up to the observatory. A must place for a airplane enthusiast! Good of both the runways. One is closer but other is little far but you can enjoy landing and takeoffs from here. There is Kinderspielplatz which is really awesome for and also a restaurant. Parking is paid but available in plenty. Must Great of Munich Airport, a large aviation themed playground, and some historic aircrafts - open all day. The viewpoint cost 1 EUR in coins or 5/10 notes. Nice park for children. And the point is not that much attractive but for one time you can try. The restaurant near by is good for pomes and some desert’s. Old flights are there but due to corona they are closed. Overall it’s good 👍. What a fun spot for kids! An aviation themed playground with old and an overlook (1€ fee per person). Small restaurant, gift store and bathrooms available. You can register for an airport tour, but we don’t have time for that. Free entry and parking for up to an hour. If you’re into and have a couple of spare hours before or after your flight this place is totally worth it. It’s a stop with the S1 from the airport and a nice 15 minute walk. The playground for the is one of the coolest and the at the top of the hill really gives you a close overview of the whole airport. Be aware of having 1€ coins in hand, that’s the entrance cost to the hill. A good place to bring kids. would enjoy the outdoor play places of different themes. Get a nice of the flight's landing and take off. The food and beverages at the restaurant are a bit expensive though. A great break on a layover, we took the train one stop to get here from the terminal and spent some time on the park and going up the hill to see departures and landings. Very cool! Notice yhat you have to pay 1 euro in coins, we didn't have any so we went to the souvenir shop and they helped us pay with credit and opened the gate. What an incredible experience with the team of fellow students from Politecnico Di Milano today visiting Münich Airport! The guide Philipp and the coach driver Alex were incredibly kind and coordinated, as well as very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the visit, seeing MUC Airport in deep, and would do it again without any hesitation!! Thanks Philipp and Alex for your availability and professionalism, I hope to see you again in the future. Amazing place to and it’s so simple On our way to check into the Hilton at Munich Airport, we passed by the Visitors Park—and it immediately caught our eye. With its aviation-themed playground, historic aircraft on display, and a striking observation deck, it looked like such a cool spot that we knew we had to come back before our trip ended. We made it just in time to catch the sunset on our last night in Germany, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our trip. From the top of the observation hill, we had an amazing of the runway and terminal, watching take off and land as the sky turned gold and pink. It felt peaceful, exciting, and a little emotional knowing we’d be flying out the next day. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a unique spot to relax and take in the sights, the Visitors Park at Munich Airport is a hidden gem. It’s easy to access, family-friendly, and a great place to soak in those final moments of travel magic. A huge playground, a pleasant bistro. Possibility to watch taking off. This park has a variety of things for the children to play on while here so that they will not get bored. Lots of space for the children to play without interfering with other children. Very spacious! There's also a small Cafe where you can get drinks and snacks. There is even little airplanes for the toddlers to peddle. And there is access to the toilets! Amazing experience going on a tour of the airport. The lady giving the tour was amazing and very friendly. Highly recommend this place especially if you have a long layover with time to kill!
