Coming back next time we visit 😊 A bit rough and ready but with friendly staff, members club so visitors pay a higher price for drinks however still decent value especially as when we visited they had a father and son combo belting out a good mixture of classics. Fun night all round. Friendly and love the live music here. bar right on the quayside, the walls inside are painted with doctor who and sailing figures. Has to be seen to be believed. Lovely friendly bar...good prices too Couple of nice real ales plus local cider Eight of us attended the Watchet carnival event, we all purchased 2 drinks each from the esplanade bar, a hatch to the outside seating area. However when we asked to use the toilet we were told that was for members only and we were flatly refused entry. I get that it was a busy event but surely advance warning i.e. a sign on the outside bar saying drink beer here but are toilet facilities are unavailable would be the right thing to do! The Esplanade Club is a pub to visit if you are in the Watchet area. I used to frequent this pub many years ago when I lived locally, however dropped in a couple of times last week when I was visiting family in the area. The outside seating area is situated just on the harbour, perfect for a relaxing drink on the evening. The pricing was and the beer was great. Lovely touch with the branded plastic cups for outside drinking, I took mine home as a souvenir. The staff and locals were very friendly. Will definitely be dropping in for a pint or two next year when we are back in Watchet. Was in here Saturday 23rd March , band on, good music venue and lovely atmosphere. Treatment of my friend was outrageous last Saturday evening.. Weather is because she has a disability or just looked different 🤔 I'm not sure!!! but wouldn't want to even let my dog drink in this place as a result of the staffs behaviour and attitudes..
