The warmest of welcome from all of the staff at pynes. A huge of meat, fish and fresh . With a large display of local drinks, dry goods, condiments and much more. There is so much choice here you could happily spend time browsing all they sell and choosing from their wide range. They also have a takeaway/cafe and free parking. I will certainly be popping back next time I pass by. I've been reading 'The Extra Mile' and it recommends places to stop off while travelling, instead of the usual service station. This cafe / farm shop / takeaway was a great stop. Very friendly service, good coffee, excellent hot and cold food to take away, plus a cafe, and farm shop food and drinks to buy. Toilet facilities and places to sit inside and out. We plan our journey from Wales to Devon to ensure we can stop by Pynes for a fabulous hog & once again they were happy to sell us a stash of delicious in a tray, topped with stuffing and apple sauce! Best hog you'll probably ever have! And the team are always delightful too! Picked up some cider brandy and shared a pork, apple sauce and stuffing with my daughter and wife. Really lovely Delicious with nice coffee followed by a little shopping of smoked ham, fresh lamb, sausages, bacon and the best black pudding I have ever tasted. Highly recommended. If you are driving down the M5 - this place is worth a ten minute detour to feast on magnificent breakfast rolls & rolls for lunch. We popped in today purely by chance as in the area and wanted lunch. Glad we did - Hot with apple sauce, crackling & stuffing was amazing such great value, stacked full of yummy tender (£4.99). We also had a hot beef sub topped with gravy, again a fab amount of delicious beef (£5.99). They also have a dinner for a mere £7.99 - great value folks. After eating our lunch we popped into the Shop - really good of meat, cheese, fish, veg etc... all the staff were really friendly & helpful. Five stars for this place . Top class butchery with amazing of other foods. Fantastic hot food too. Well worth coming off the M5 for - excellent value, choice and old fashioned service. Don't ask for bavette steak though, round these parts we calla it rump skirt but at 14 quid a kilo, what's in a name? Top Class This place has it all so much fresh local and cheese and lots of other produce, it has a small cafe area and also a takeout area which serves in a it’s a lovely place to visit Pyne's is an Aladin's cave of local produce. Great Butchers and fishmongers as well as an array of products. Takeaway kitchen is a must visit withfood from a Bacon to a weekday (with hog roast). Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Well worth calling in. Lovely and knowledgeable staff making us feel welcome and at ease. Great of cooked and raw meats (even goat!) in a clean and calm environment. Loved the farm shop items also, great for a short browse for a treat (including vegan chocolate options beans, pulses and fresh produce). Thank you for making my day even brighter! 😊 Stopped for an impromptu sandwich at lunchtime. Great value beef and rolls. Delicious 😋 Fantastic from a diamond of a local business. Nice friendly butchers. They cary a wide range of products not just but fish and shellfish, cider, preserves etc. They have weekly specials as well. They also have a hot servery with hog roast, beef and lots more on a roll. Very good assortment of meats. Slightly pricey but you definitely get the quality. Also have a hot foods counter if you are hungry. If you like a roll, this is the place to grab one. This place is fantastic. Starts with the really friendly, helpful staff. They've always been chatty. My main purchases are usually sausage and bacon for camping trips, and the bacon tastes lovely and is almost as thick as gammon. Great of tasty sausages. Depending on the time I will usually have the or beef roast. So much lovely food and perfectly priced. If I'm early then it will be the hog baguette, or the gut busting Pynes breakfast roll. Both are great, and plentiful.
