Had end summer dinner with my colleagues and ordered the red wine sauce sirloin steak with lobster tail. The restaurant was packed, a clear sign of its popularity! While the steak was initially requested as medium rare, it ended up medium. However, the flavor was still excellent, with a rich red wine glaze that added depth. The lobster tail was fresh and succulent, pairing beautifully with the dish. The presentation was elegant, and the portion size was generous. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service remained attentive and friendly, blue light card is eligible for 10% discount, making the overall experience enjoyable. I would still highly recommend for its vibrant ambiance and delicious food! Visited while on holiday. Very friendly staff. Was attended by Kira who was very warm and friendly. The food was top quality. Our night was made more special when Kira found out it was my birthday and brought out a chocolate brownie with a candle. A very nice surprise. It was well worth waiting for. Our Waiter, Bertrand, was an absolute delight. He was professional, courteous, appropriately friendly and, I would say, a perfect waiter. The food was delicious. Sensible serving sizes and ridiculously tasty. The meats were cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. Desserts were truly sublime. Unfortunately, we live many hours from Taunton, otherwise we would visit regularly but if we are in the area, we will definitely be returning. Absolute compliments to the chefs. A Sunday lunch outing for a birthday. Had the Sunday Share board, consisting of lamb, beef steak and chicken, mash, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and veg. Others had the steak & the fish. Our server Bertrand was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a evening. I really appreciate the birthday dessert and singing. Had yet another evening with friends here. They were very busy so there was a bit of a wait to be seated and for food to come out but this was to be expected on a Saturday night. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive regardless of the fact of how busy they were. We were delighted to be seated in Bertrand's section again! We had been seated in his section last time we visited and he didn't disappoint he is funny, personable and makes everyone feel welcome. We will be back and will hopefully be in Bertrand's section again! We had such a experience from start to end. We booked last minute and they had a table for us ready for when we got there. Our waiter, Bertrand was so and attentive. We shared the butchers block which was incredible, the mocktails were amazing, and finished with a mini pudding and hot drink.
