Delicious breakfast (till 2pm) and lots of desserts! Very friendly staff, cash only, terraces available. Not possible to sit inside with a stroller, no changing table available. Very cosy place just next to the park. Highly recommended! The strong points of this place are without doubt the location in a wonderful park of a castle, the ample parking (unless it's full), and the WONDERFUL cakes. Loved them. The weak points are the fact that none of the personnel speaks english, the deliberate choice of not accepting credit cards (there are reviews dated 5 years ago already saying this, and as of 2025 it hasn't changed), and the beverages, as far as we tried them. Tea is ok, just mild-flavoured. Coffee... well, I have a german friend that warned me that "german coffee is terrible". After trying coffee in Munich, Cologne and Trier, I was almost disappointed that I always found decent or even good coffee. Here, I finally got to experience the infamous "terrible german coffee", it took a health-threatening dose of sugar to make it drinkable. Anyway, the overall experience is positive, the cakes are really stellar, the slices are huge, the prices are fair for Germany, and the café itself is lovely. Came here to ask for a bottle of water for our sons, they don't have and tell me they can put us a glass of water, we think how nice! and then proceed to charge us 3,20 euros for it Caffe was so tasty. We took some cakes home.. They were delicious. Grounds were perfect. Spotless clean and groomed. Cafe was excellent. Lovely team looking after the Café today.. a service with a smile. They were happy to explain on a great choice of cakes 🥰 This café is taking advantage of its location close to the attraction, but not worth considering. Steep steps up to it not disabled-friendly, card payments not accepted. Coffee cups are tiny and completely overpriced, quality below par and service surly . Would not recommend.
