The view and the food at El Caustre de Paleta are truly 5 stars — beautifully presented and delicious. Sadly, the was disappointing. I asked for a salad with my dish, but the waitress refused, claiming the kitchen was too busy (though there were only 16 guests). The chef kindly offered to make it, but she still said no. Loved the place for the view and food, but the needs improvement. We had a large room for our Christmas lunch. Everyone enjoyed the day. Good food with many options for such a large group. The location is quite special, as are the restaurant spaces literally attached to a very ancient small yet important church. We ate inside although the terrace is very well set. We had expected a bit more from the weekend menu, the starters were really good, specially the calamari, and yet the main fish and meat dishes need some more care in the preparation. Overall a experience. Staff were very nice. Food was excellent! The weekend menu includes appetizers, main dish, and a dessert for 35 € excellent food- both fish and meat dishes were incredibly well cooked Great food and service! We went more than 20 and the offer of local homemade food was great, wines and friendly service. Overall great price value deal. BTW views and place are nice too. There is a romanic style little church by its side that is worth visit if you are there. 😀👌🏻 Lunch set menu was 17.5 per person ! It’s out of this world . Highly recommend this place. Dining in the church , value and food. Excellent food, and very friendly staff and dogs! We arrived as kitchen was closing, and they still took time to make us lunch which was very considerate.
