The great little ravine which is very easy to through. is not deep and the views are simply thrilling as you are basically inside an old cave. Probably the easiest of its kind to visit. Dirt track to get there is not very good of course and for most of the year you have to over a small river. Niceee! This is very very interesting place to visit and relax. The trail goes through a quiet gorge with lots of trees and greenery, and it feels very calm and untouched. You along the river and have to cross it a few times, so good hiking are a must – your feet will definitely get wet if you’re not prepared! The path isn’t too difficult, and it’s well-marked. There are even caves with stalactites along the way, which makes it feel a bit magical. It’s not a busy or touristy place, which we really liked. Worth the visit Worth visiting, a small scale with running water, stalactites and natural light coming from above Amazing little canyon. It's free access and open 24 hours. Can be reached by foot from the archeological site up the hill or by driving from the E55 road. If going from E55 side it's possible to drive all the way to the entrance, however you will need to cross a shallow stream (see pic). It's only about 15 cm deep but you may want to leave a rental can before it as it's a short from there anyway. The road from E55 is unpaved and it's possible to leave your can just off E55 and to the canyon. It's not too far. In front of the there is a table where you can leave your belongings and change shoes. The is quite short but impressive, it's only about 50 meters deep ending with a stalactite waterfall. To reach the waterfall you will need to in so best to have with you. The will go over the knees, the deepest place is the turn left just before the waterfall. On that turn on the left side, it's a bit more shallow there. I'm average height and in the deepest place the went about 20 cm over my knees. I had to roll my shorts up to pass. It is surrounded by trees, a river and a bridge that leads to a narrow path that goes all the way up to three tombs! The cave can be fully explored within 5 minutes, but you should leave your staff outside if you carry any! Very beautiful spot with a good access from main road. Beautiful gorge, that you can access either by car or by walking from the Archeological site of Peristeria(which is more tiring). It is worth visiting, but be prepared as the might reach your waist and also bring atleast 2 pair of shoes. I'm sure everyone will love its natural beauty! From the archaeological site it a 15 - 20 minute walk. Outside of the site (right side) is a small path. It has some loose stones. Good are helpfull. When you reach the crossing go left. The is quite short but pretty spectacular. As we visited in August the was a bit over the knees (185cm tall). Swimming make things easier. The are in front of the is perfect for a Picknick and the from the spring was good to drink. Please take your rubish with you as it is such a clean spot in nature.
