Amazing ottoman with magnificent of the gulf. I visited it during the Greek Great Holiday, August 15-17. Everyone is cheerful 🙂. Wonderful ambiance, nice promenade. Nice view, very good preserved (about 800 years old), free entry ,but it needs a couple of minutes to get here from Kyparissia and has very big stairs. The is beautiful, but the itself is closed: you can't walk it. I'd say it's barely worth the drive or the climb. From Nov 1st its only open Fri to Monday, just driven 2 hours to find out, but nice spot Drove 600km just to see closed doors Is it so hard to put info that since 1st November you are closed for 3 days in a week? Open as seen in the picture, but this is greece... no promises haha So canon can be reached, hole in the wall not, due to construction conditions. Entrance is free Parking right in the front is small, nice coffee shop next to it Interesting but quite small. The old square is ok to drink a coffee in an authentic Greek atmosphere. We walked up from the ( we were staying there ) and it took about an hour. Walk back via the old watermill. It’s beautifully restored and has an amazing garden with views of the mountains and town. A d they have nice food for lunch. Perfect place to enjoy the sunset and take panoramic photos of the city. The paths are slippery in some areas, and steep, better wear adequate shoes if you want to explore a little bit. The location is beautifull, only down part can be accessed, so full is not availlable. The part of the that counts is nog available. In the itself there is a lot integrated from the old into the new town, so a lot to look for. Parking lot is in front. It's small wich is not a problem if it can be fully viewed. The around is nice. But not when you come for the castle. EU spend money on this, not clear what it did, unfortunetaly. The old of Kyparissia was built surrounding the and it's clear some of the buildings used part of the castles masonry. It holds a commanding position overlooking the town/city of Kyparissia and is only a few meters away from a few tavernas. It's quite a steep walk up to the from the lower town, but it's only around 5 euros to get upto the castle. Perfect place from for panoramic of Kiparissia!!! I liked the service...coffee is great...view is wonderful ....I always like going there but the last time I went the croissant that I ordered was like rubber....didn't taste good and paid 5.50 euro (i ordered two)...it was a filled croissant with brios....poorly made...a club sandwich I ordered elsewhere was 6.00 euros.....please be careful what price you put and what you serve cause I really like going there and the service is very good.
