My wife and I, both Greek Australians, jumped at the opportunity to enjoy a home cooked pastitsio and greek salad prepared by the mother of their family, who runs the kitchen. It was on par with my own mum's pastitsio (though I can't tell her that!) and that's saying something! The entire family are friendly and welcoming. Tables are found both in the station proper and scattered over a carefully manicured lawn giving a back yard garden feeling. And the food is as carefully taken care of as the lawn. Offerings of home cooked fare and grilled meats are fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. An unassuming location full of wonderful surprises! We ordered a variety of grilled meats and they are all juicy and savoury, the Tzatziki that comes with the dishes also tastes refreshing. Fantastic dining experience directly on old train tracks! The food was very good for the price and the service was quick (for greek standards) and friendly. Next time we are in the area, we will be coming again. We spent a casual dinner under the trees in their garden. The chef is very friendly, and she makes wonderful fried zucchini balls. Her Tzatsiki and lemon lamb are great, too. Ouzo is recommended, and prizes are reasonable. Lovely staff, really good food and good prices. Nice atmosphere too!
