It is ok. First of all you must not come during high summer period, because water level will be low and waterfalls weaker than usual. Secondly prepare that road to bigger waterfall is blocked at many stages. You will need repllant, to protect yourself from mosquitos and flies. Expect some walking up and dow,, cascades are down in a canyon. Place is easly accesible from the main road. This gorge trail is great for at least two reasons: 1. It is not so often hiked as other more mainstream gorges, so more peace and quiet for oneself. 2. It is in the forest, covered by trees, so lots of shade and cool air during summer, sunny days. 3. Nice, small to medium waterfalls and clean water. The trail may be a bit hard at times, especially if hiking along the water course, but manageable without any special gear. Just take care with the parts that are steeper. Enjoy and take care of nature! Surprisingly beautiful small gorges. Recommend climbing them on the valley floor. Access through the lower waterfalls is marked with a red dot, the path to the upper ones are not marked but they are also accessible. After the last waterfall one can use the path marked with red triangle to return to the trailhead. It's Little Canyon. I visited in the middle of summer only because having a local friend to point me in the right direction. Well preserved and kept wild gem. It's known to have two waterfalls small as the canyon is small, and they were not so spectacular being the dry season and only only basically drops of water running through them. But I highly recommend a visit a hike. If you're seeing something else in surroundings, do it in the morning or in the evening and between go for that hike. You'll love it! Pretty nice hiking forest. Cleaner than other places and accessible with preschoolers as well. Many insects, frogs and different plants to look at. Superb hiking paths in the forest. Great nature you can find next to the main road. Best time to come here is from late spring to mid autumn. I would definitely recommend to take the path to Cascadele Superioare for an excellent 1 hour hike there and back to the parking lot. Amazing location to go with a group here. Rămâne totuși o ieșire buna in natura,un traseu de aproximativ 3 ore dus-intors. just wow. super, especially on the river trail. definitely a must and at 1 hour from Cluj Great place to visit during summer. Great views. I would not recommend taking the bottom path with a dog as it's consolidated with iron steps and chains to grab made for humans. Great walk, for the whole family - even the small one (2y old). Nice place. Is ok for little kids too. Don't forget to not break flowers /plants and bring back with you your trash. Absolute stunner in late Autumn! Easy hike, through the forest. Parking spot available too.
