A highly recommended place to enjoy the peace of nature plus a gorgeous view. The trail on the river level has arranged some via ferrata segments, so even more adventurous trip, but nothing of a difficult level. The sad part is that some areas are private, and are ruining the view of the place. It is not so clean at places. for nature lovers to fully enjoy such natural beauties. A nice walking ( and a bit of climbing ) if you want to enjoy a little bit of mother Earth. Some parts of the journey requires to use some chains, but it's not that hard. It looks much harder than it really is. The chains are pretty new and I don't think they will break soon. Duration: ~45 - 70 min one-way (near the river) ~30 - 45 min wa-back (on the top) Advices: - take a bottle of water (min 1l) - wear some hat - use spf - wear adequate clothes and shoes (not jeans, not slippers, not normal sneakers) - !!!enjoy your trip!!! Plenty of walking and hiking involved! We had a good, sunny day of doing a medium-difficulty circuit around the gorge. We followed the blue circle and were done in approx 3 hrs (the circuit does not go inside the gorge). Great fun for every member of the family! Traseu foarte foarte frumos, putin mai solicitant decat Cheile Turzii, dar mult mai distractiv. Beautiful area with a cool via ferrata route that took me about 3 hours out and back at a leisurely pace. I only saw one other person on cables while I was there. The river was flowing pretty well and quite loud at times, which I enjoyed. I stumbled upon an unfortunate fox who met his fate seemingly unpreparedly, poor guy. At the beginning/end of the tail, there is an awesome little restaurant with the coldest, most delicious draft beer you’ll ever have. The mici was quite excellent as well and best yet, all while on their grass lawn amidst the tall spires of the surrounding gorge. A beautiful place to kick back and relax after the rewarding hike. Challenging trail, but hard for a beginner. Make sure you bring some gloves and don't come unprepared! On the other hand, amazing via ferrata hike with lots of challenging spots and nice views. Make sure you check the weather before you come! I recommend it! Breathtaking and extraordinary gorge. A quite underrated place for everyone to visit. This place is just about a 30-40 minute drive from Cluj-Napoca. The hike to reach the top can be done by anyone. It is best to come here from Copăceni, and follow the blue circle on the right to get the wonderful view when you reach Tureni Gorge. It was peaceful and relaxing at the top, but you still need some effort to hike 30 minutes. If you want to camp in the valley.. don't do it, it's crowded, very loud. You should rather go up at the top of the canyon/gorge. There are no people, it is very quiet and you can see down at the canyon and you can even see the sunset/sunrise. Loved it ! Be prepared for a bit of wilderness while you walk through the beautiful Tureni Gorge. Some portions of the path require via ferrata technical equipment such as harness, helmet, trekking shoes, safety rope, etc. There is an info board which also states this at the entrance of the Gorge, however if you prefer to hike on the top of the gorge, you don't require special equipment. Very beautiful and good place to camp. Traseu scurt, câteva porțiuni provocatoare și peisaje superbe. Extremely beautiful landscape! Too bad the cabins at the end of the entrance to the Gorge, from Copaceni, pollute the atmosphere while blasting shi.tty music (etno, manele..) very loudly and sometimes up 'til midnight...
