I asked for a Nenea Iancu, but somehow ended up with a Ciuc instead. I’m guessing the loud music and oh-so-charming atmosphere might have led to the mix-up. When I politely pointed out that I’d been given the wrong beer, I was informed, quite bluntly, that they didn’t care because *apparently*, that’s what I ordered. I calmly explained that I hadn’t ordered a Ciuc, but the server’s level of concern was touching—she immediately called the bodyguard. Yes, you read that right, the bodyguard. He kindly escorted me outside, informing me that they couldn’t possibly take the untouched back. His solution? I should just give it to someone else and buy a new one. How thoughtful. I declined his generous offer, so he graciously refunded me for the and suggested—no, told me—not to bother coming back. All because I had the audacity to point out their mistake. So, what was supposed to be a simple turned into me being banned from the establishment. Needless to say, that little incident put a damper on my evening, and I headed home. And just to clarify, I was nothing but polite the entire time. The bodyguard was also polite, I’ll give him that, but the decision to ban me for absolutely no valid reason was truly a masterclass in professionalism. Really liked having one on their terrace to continue our walk throughout Cluj. Four starts for not having any English / Irish tap (the only tap is Heiniken's). I am from India and living in London, I visited Romania and had a good experience so far until I went there, the place was happening, so I tried walking inside with my 2 mates, as the place is free for entry and does not require prior booking. I was stopped at the entrance and was asked to step aside by the bouncer on the gate, while people behind me were entering the pub. Upon asking him politely about the reason for not letting us in, he turned his face around and gave me a dirty look. We walked off straight and we did not want any problems. We were well dressed up and ready for a good time and this place ruined it. Its a shame that you still find such people in this modern era, which shows lack of awareness and knowledge.
