Cons: The music was a bit too loud, the contained a ridiculous amount of ice (probably as much as 90%), and there was a noticeable odor from the hookahs at neighboring tables. People in Cluj go wild for this place. It is really cozy and private. It's very different from other bars in the area. The are also nice. The were well curated and the hookah and atmosphere were great! We personally chose to have the bartender surprise us (an option on the menu) and chose gin as our liquor. Both drinks were delicious without being too sweet. I really loved the decor and vibe of the entire establishment. The place is a bit small, but the people working there are so much fun to talk to. We asked if they can make a “Spicy Margarita” even though it wasn’t on the menu. Great experience and the shots are the best, especially the Koko Bongo They have unique and a huge variety of gins, rums and other distilled stuff. Tasty drinks and friendly staff, a bit too pricy from my pov. There was only one waitress on the entire terace and it was pretty full. They should consider two for weekend nights at least. We were told we had only 10 minutes to finish and leave, which felt very rude and rushed. The waitress claimed she didn’t have a charger for our phone, even though the bartender had just said there was one available and in the middle of service she claimed she doesn’t have anymore sandwiches available (because most likely she was not interested to prepare them ) . The service quality has really declined, and we miss the previous owners and staff who made this place feel welcoming and warm. It’s just not the same anymore. The 15% tips was left for them to motivate them for a better service and I hope this review will help towards that. Amazing little bar! A brilliant selection of rum and some great tasting cocktails!! So the bar is Called Hemingway’s - no Daiquiri on the menu - we don’t do them any more was the staff answer - rather amusing. Are you a cocktail bar or a shisha bar - make a decision.
