It's a jewelry and the municipality should find the funds to completely renew it as a historical monument. That's a really sad what people did with that kind of places not too fare ago. Unfortunately everywhere on eastern europe are a lot of similar places. For 5 days a year it is the venue for Electric but for the rest of the year it's a very quiet escape from the city. 10 lei (~2€) entrance fee and you can read materials about the history of the place all around the and the yard. The has been renovated over the years by numerous organizations after a long period of deterioration. Accesul este ușor, drumul e bun. Bilete adulți 15 lei. Ar fi interesant de știut și viața locuitorilor din zonă și cum au "contribuit" ei la bogăția celor care au deținut Bonțida. Sunt sigur că unele lucruri nu sunt afișate sau spuse pentru că nu convin celor ce dețin sau se folosesc în prezent de castel. The is still under renovation but it's worth getting a short walk around, visit some parts of the place and get an idea of what it used to be in its glory. A very beautiful place, best time to visit is during the third week of July when Electric takes place, best music festival in Romania. Maybe stop off if passing but very underwhelming. Looks like a building site in general though some internal rooms are plesant to see. This stunning complex is getting little by little uplifted and brought back to life thanks to Electric festival. If you like electro and dance music, check it out, or, simply pop by and pay a visit, as even though it has a long way to go, it is still soooooo impressive It's a decent place to spend 2 hours if it's sunny, but other than that I can't say I was amazed by it. The area is quite large, with a pond and places to relax outdoors. There's also an indoor cafe where you can buy ice cream, coffee, and other things. They really take care of the grounds here. At the entrance, there's a ticket office where you can buy tickets and explore the building. You can also go inside to see some interesting historical exhibits.
