One of the Best Places To Visits in Clydach Vale Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Quite an easy out-and-back style alongside two small and a stream that connects them. I tend to prefer circular loops, so you can deviate off the main path to do this but they wouldn't be suitable for prams as these paths are more suitable for hiking. I visited at the end of April, the larger waterfall at the top of the dried up on this occasion. There were a couple of viewpoints of the valley along the path despite this though as it was a clear day. It was a place to see birds, we saw Mallard Ducks, Muscovy Ducks, Geese, and Coots. The car at the start of the is small. There is limited parking at the start of the on busy days. It looked like you could further up by one of the on the other side. Went for a lovely with my granddaughter around the lake. We later went into the and enjoyed some breakfast. I recommend a visit 😊 Small car at the start. A with lots of trails, not really pram friendly apart from the cycle track. Did not get a chance to try the cafe, the kids were playing up. Along the way there's a memorial for the miners that died and also a swing park. I understand there's a waterfall further rap but did not get a chance to go on have a look again the kids were playing up. The locals tell me the is quite nice. Gorgeous nestled up tne top of the valley amid beautiful scenery with walks connecting all around. There are a few waterfalls at the top lake. Plenty of runners and dog walkers and people taking a dip in the small pool under the waterfall which is affectionately called 'the freezer' :D A small variety of waterfowl including the occasional grebe, and you can spot siskins here :) Great views, fantastic walks around the and a wonderful that serves really tasty food including slices of freshly made cakes. Prices are really values and not too expensive. It's a very popular place, so be prepared to queue for a bit at times. Beautiful place to relax and grab beer and snack. Clydach Vale country is a great asset to the area. Comprising 2 commonly known as top and bottom lake. 2 stunning waterfalls, if you're willing to walk, both not far from the top lake. There is a memorial to the old Cambrian Colliery, paths for walking and biking that lead up in to forest and mountains from where on a day you can see the sea. The main from the car to the top is incredibly easy to follow. Generally easily to walk, tarmacked circular around the bottom leading to a well maintained rocky/gravelly path to the top lake, from here you can choose many other routes. You can see many species enjoying the from Heron to Mallard to Moorhen to Canada Geese to name but a few. There is also an awesome coffee shop/cafe/restaurant that serves hot drinks/soft drinks/ alcohol, cakes and meals. In weather you can sit on the balcony overlooking the lake. Well worth a visit, of which I do many times a month This place is a real gem !. We had a great around here on Sunday 8th June. The dog absolutely loved it as well as us. Popped into the for coffee and cake which was also very good. The staff that work there are very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be coming back to explore the walks further.
