Lots of events with choir exchanges and bands; all overlooking a well kept swimming area and playground. They close quite early depending on how busy they are. Not sure i should be telling you about this place, as it is a gem and it would be tragic if it were overrun with guests. Very relaxing, beautiful view of the Spree, easy access for swimming too. Strandidyll is a hidden little gem we discovered while looking for a break from Autobahn 12, as an alternative to the usual gas station restaurants along the highway. The food is simple but tasty, with a straightforward menu featuring schnitzels, ragouts, currywurst, fish and chips, salads, and more. During our visit, there was also a special chanterelle menu with several dishes incorporating them, which was a nice seasonal touch. The staff are very friendly, service is quick, and the restaurant is very clean. The surrounding area is charming, with a nearby lawn along the river perfect for picnics and a playground for children. Do note that dogs are not allowed on the lawn near the playground and river, though the restaurant staff kindly allowed our dog to sit with us on the terrace while we ate. Prices are really on the high side, but the overall experience makes it worthwhile. A great little stop off the highway. Good service, comfortable atmosphere, and nice food. There's a nearby hiking trail, swimming, fishing, boating, a playground, and a beautiful town. Wir waren heute spontan zum Besuch. Super leckeres Essen und schon garniert- war wirklich etwas fürs Auge, nur leider habe ich die Portion nicht geschafft, aber natürlich mitgenommen. Schön angerichtet und alles neu gemacht + schönen Außerbereich mit Blick auf die Spree.Alles sauber gewesen. Super freundlich und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
