Great food and great hosts Amazing experience. We were there in a cloudy Sunday but every table was full of people. Typical location of an Italian tavern. Great first course. In the image: "Rigatoni al torchio con ragù di maialino grigio e chiodini". I didn't tasted any second course but the friends of mine at the table said they were delicious! And this thought has been used for any dessert we chose. The friendly staff members let the atmosphere to be more relaxed. And the price: you know when someone says the expression "the right price-quality ratio"? It should be applied to this place. We'll be back surely soon! Such a quirky restaurant, that is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, no offence! It was packed with families and had such a great atmosphere, the staff were really quick and efficient and welcoming The standout was the quality and portion of the food, the bruschetta was enormous and full of flavour, and the gnocchi was unbelievably fresh and soft, living up to classic Italian standards For dessert I chose the Tiramisu, wow! Is an understatement, it was out of this world. This was easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in Italy, and it terms of character and quirkyness, one of the best ever! I was really impressed and want everyone to try this restaurant if they are ever in this part of town. What a great experience! Giant portions of delicious, high quality food at a very reasonable price. A quirky restaurant full of character and really friendly and helpful staff. Make sure you are really hungry before you go. After a beautiful stroll through the center of Mantua, we headed to the outskirts to have dinner at this trattoria. It’s a popular spot, so we made sure to book a table in advance. The location is along a main road, with convenient parking nearby. Inside, the restaurant is divided into several rooms, each with its own unique decor. The spaces aren't particularly large, but they’re well organized and thoughtfully arranged. What makes the place truly charming are the decorative elements hanging on the walls and ceilings — copper pots, straw chairs, and antique furniture that give it a strong sense of character. There’s also an outdoor pergola where tables are set up during the summer months. The style is a delightful mix of traditional, rustic, countryside charm with subtle touches from the 1960s. The entrance is especially charming, framed by an arch covered in lush greenery that gently wraps around the doorway. Once seated, the waiter brought us the menus, and we decided to share dishes, since the portions are very generous. My lovely girlfriend and I ordered tagliatelle al ragù di capriolo, spezzatino di cavallo con patate arrosto, tartare con formaggio, and to finish, a tortino al tiramisù con panna. We thoroughly enjoyed everything — the portions were abundant and definitely worth the price. The highlight of the evening was the tagliatelle al ragù: rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. The spezzatino had a pronounced savory note that I personally would have balanced with polenta on the side to round out the flavors. The others at our table had tartare con formaggio e grissini like us, as well as rigatoni con pomodorini e zucchine, a tris di tartare, and lasagna di zucca. For dessert, they tried the torta della casa served with gelato alla crema. They told us their dishes were just as flavorful and satisfying. Overall, the food was well-prepared, hearty, and full of local character — made with fresh, regional ingredients. The service was kind and efficient, and the atmosphere was calm, relaxed, and family-style. All in all, the value for money is excellent considering the generous portions and quality of ingredients. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal that’s simple, authentic, and truly memorable. Flavor Compass - D P e G C flavor-compass.com Amazing place! Big portions, excellent taste, interesting interior, friendly people! Highly recommended! Food were just so excellent!!! Big portion, cheap, tasty, fulfilling One of the best italian resto i ever visited!!! Will come again!!!! The only thing is they should add english menu, and it should be possible because their menu is only one page Outstanding and unique experience. The dishes are extraordinary in presentation, uniqueness and taste, but be warned! Their size is not to be underestimated! A single entree might be enough to satisfy the hunger of some people. This would be enough, but it doesn't stop there: the people working there are extraordinary as well. We shared many laughs with the personnel and a good time was had by all.
